I read that “The Railgun system will make ETH a privacy coin. The first version will launch June 30.” How can you do this? Don’t you need any permission from Vitalik? What are the contras and pros for ETH? What would be different? And, What are the plan for launching? In which platform will be?
What is wrong with your page? Isn’t it already launched? When i click the link of your website there is no ANY information about the project, only the telegram, twitter and email. But, what happen with the docs? Whitepaper? They are so important for people can have knowledges about what Railgun is. If you’re working on it, when will be available? You’ve already asserted Railgun’s privacy, why are you so confident about that? I know ETH is a good platform, but there are many better platforms, why did you decide to choose ETH? What’s so special about ETH for your project? Under the great volatility of the market, will there be any impact on the Railgun project?
Can you tell in more detail how it works about ADAPT (REMOVE/ADD) clearly? Is it basically the same as other e-wallets? What do you think about the API? What features do you look for when evaluating an API for suitability? What are the gas costs when swapping? And what does it depend on?
We know that RAILGUN is a project that has new forms and security solutions offering users anonymity when making transactions with third parties. All of this is possible thanks to zk-SNARKS, in what it is possible to see about RAILGUN that those offered in As for security, it is very accurate and has good coherence in all its aspects, the zk-SNARKS system was created by you to solve these user concerns? We know that RAILGUN is an idea made reality by scientists from Europe, Australia and Canada in order to solve privacy problems on the ETHEREUM platform, the project is based on making a common and public process something more private, anonymous and fast as did you manage to successfully set up this project? will they be focused on being a means of security for the ETHEREUM platform? What other platforms do you intend to integrate into since it would be a cutting-edge project in terms of user safety?
Previous iterations and attempt to solve blockchain privacy concerns usually involves the creation of new nodes or the implementation of Layer 2 technology and sometimes speed and efficiency are traded off as a result of splitting transactions into on-chain and off-chain activities. However, with Railgun, I read that there will be no new node, no layer 2 and all activities will be executed on-chain. How will you be able to build directly on Ethereum primary layer base and implement a privacy system with only smart contracts without requiring a secondary layer or other forms of off-chain activities? How will you use zk-SNARKS cryptographic technology differently from other protocols such as Mixer and still be able to ensure flexibility, security, privacy and convenience despite the unalterable nature of the Ethereum primary layer that you are building directly on?
Railgun intend to implement privacy feature that can hide farming strategies and pools information as you intend to take privacy beyond regular day to day transactions. You said users will be able to perform “darkpool style trading” and nobody will be able to copy a user farming strategies. How will users use darkpool style trading and what are the assets that can be deposited into these pools? How is the darkpool designed to operate transparently and securely since no one will be able to monitor asset flow in and out of this pool? Also, Will this farming darkpool be able to accurately identify each user’s contribution to the pool in order to determine farming yield reward as well as determine the pool APY when everyone is anonymous?
You plan to launch Railgun Privacy DEX in order to facilitate the swap and exchange of tokens anonymously without having to worry about privacy leakage during asset exchange operations. Can you tell us more about the features of this DEX and what tokens it will be able to swap? Also, why is the DEX structure built on the Atomic Swap System rather than the usual AMM systems used commonly by most DEXes? How will the Market Makers of Railgun Privacy DEX be able to pull liquidity from uniswap and other pools outside Railgun when this DEX is expected to be completely private?
I read that the launch of your token will take place soon, and that it will work in the ethereum network. Currently the cryptocurrency market is experiencing a downtrend for almost all projects, this has made a large part of users be more careful or have more doubts when investing in a new project. Taking this into account I would like to know why you decided to launch the token using the ethereum network, which is currently known for high gas fees, you do not believe that this, together with the current market situation, could be counterproductive for the initial reception of the project? How do you plan to combat this?
In a recent news item I saw that RAILGUN uses only zk-SNARKS in smart contracts, so it’s all on-chain, with full Ethereum security, and no trade-off. Could you explain a little to those of us who are beginners in this world, what exactly is zk-SNARKS, how does it work and what benefits for the safety of users does it provide?
The basis of Your project is the security, privacy and anonymity of the users, however, this could be beneficial for people who commit criminal acts, for example, receiving payments for the sale of illicit substances, or even receiving payments for making cyber crimes. I would like to know how your platform would fight against that? If a police team, for example, suspects that these types of transactions are being carried out on their platform, how could you help them, if in theory they could not trace the address or identity of the alleged criminal?
It is stated that With recent advances in zkSTARKs the contributors to the Railgun Project are investigating and testing the use of SNARKs and STARKs and are developing both systems in parallel… With your proposed launch fast approaching what is the progress so far in the building and testing of your technology using both the SNARK’s and STARK’s what are the differences between both of them, and will you end up implementing both of them on your platform side by side..
Regarding the choice of hash functions to use Railgun considered 2 SNARK-friendly hash functions: MiMC Sponge (Feistel variant) and Poseidon (binary tree t=3 and quinary tree t=6 for 128bits of security).. but decided to use Poseidon as it offers lower gas costs and efficiency.. so during your consideration what were the priority features you were looking at in both of this hash functions that led to the choice of Poisedon, and apart from the fact that Poisedon offers lower gas costs in what other ways is Poisedon more efficient than MiMC sponge hash function in regards to what Railgun is building.
Railgun intends to create an internal DEX within the Railgun system. Which will become the most private DEX possible with blockchain technology and will be live by December… What will be the features of this Internal DEX, apart from being privacy inclined, what are the other aspects of this DEX that will make it different from other currently available DEX platforms..
Is it actually little bit ridiculous, just by using a transaction hash or a wallet address, you can see all the tokens and transaction history of this user. Will Railgun bring a solution to this? Can Railgun make Ethereum as private as Monero?
