Bingus is a fairly simple token on paper. It is a meme\nanimal charity coin where 3% of each transaction is split between a 1% burn, 1%\nreflect, and 1% to a charity wallet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I came onto the project\nin the most organic way possible, simply by stepping up to work on it as I fell\nin love with it. After launch, the founding dev asked if I wanted to help with\nthe first ama and I did… and from there on out so far it’s history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n My background is not\ntypically in technology, it is in film\/tv, that’s my day-to-day work.\nCurrently, I got booked last minute on a job so I’m actually sitting on set for\nThe Good Fight at the moment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n But I also have two\nrescue dogs myself so getting to work on this project so far has been the honor\nof a lifetime. At the moment there is an\nincredible rush towards cryptocurrency. Of course not only is there a ton of\nmoney to be made in the markets trading, but I see blockchain tech as something\ntransformative, that will change the world. I’ve felt that way since I learned\nabout tech like IOTA back in 2017 and before that in general with smart\ncontracts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n You cant connect the\ndots looking forward, you can only connect them looking back so who knows\nexactly where this will all lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n However, when we\nstarted working on Bingus I was well aware that currently, the use cases are\nlimited. It’s a speculative meme coin\nand the majority of our utility to the animal world is currently in simply\ndonating money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our close partnership\nwith Rocky Kanaka who knows everyone in the animal welfare world is not just a\nmedia based one. The first thing is about website was registered on 03\/31\/2021,\nregistration expires 03\/31\/2022 and says this is a possible flag. I checked\nabout your domain registration information right now and see it is still same.\nAs this is the number one potential sign of risk on the audit report do you\nthink of expanding the registration to maybe 10 years? I\u2019d like to see this as\nyour lifetime project. Are you here for long term or short term? Absolutely. to be honest I had bought that website when I was simply a\nvolunteer very early on. And at this point it\u2019s something I definitely need to\nchange. Dessertswap said they would update the audit once I requested it, so I\nwill get that done later today and request them to update all of those things\nin the audit including me being doxxed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanms for checking out\nour audit! As mentioned previously many shelters are not tech and\nsocial media savvy. Currently, ONGs are\nfacing a severe credibility crisis, due to the scandals that have shaken many\nof these organizations. I don\u2019t know if your project can be called an ONG, but\nthese often lend themselves to acts of corruption. So how can the community\nknow if charitable donations are true? Is there a site where the community can\ncheck this?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Rumi:<\/strong>\nThis is a great question and something that we are sensitive to as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We always include the\ntransaction ID with our donations, which you can check out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We ask our shelter\npartners to verify on their social media as well, which they have. However that\u2019s a big part of what we want to get changed\nand work on with the BogTools guys. I want to try and make the charity wallet\nbe completely out of my control. This is a fun story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Absolutely. I actually\nhave a full accounting firm I’m talking to. I am part owner of a medium sized\nvideo production company, and we have a full accouting firm we work with so\nthat’s who I will be engaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mary | Satoshi Club:<\/strong> Awesome 👍<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mike (formerly MJ):<\/strong> So I can across Bingus 1.0 shortly after launch. It was very promising. The community was\nwholesome and we grew, very quickly over 24 hours. I truly believed I had found\nthe next Grumpy, without copyright issues and without baggage. The wholesome\ndev had launched this as a fun little project, had seen their little coin\nquickly becoming much much more. It was really amazing to watch. Price floor\nafter price floor were found it we we\u2019re growing fast. Charties started to be\nlooked into to begin donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then the unthinkable\nhappened. The contract that Bingus Dev had used had a mint function in it. They\nhad cloned a bad contract for their passion project. A user on 4chan noticed\nand I noticed the dev immediately. They were crushed, they didn\u2019t know it was\nthere and hadn\u2019t minted a single new coin. We discussed possible solutions but\nthe only one that made sense was to tell the community immediately. The sell\noff had already begun from the news on 4chan and the TG deserved to know. So\nthe dev did the right thing and told them immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then the sell off\nreally went wild. Since I had provided most of the 2BNB+ liquidity for the coin\n(the dev didn\u2019t launch this with much as it was a passion project for them) it\nhad become about 13 BNB during the pump. At the peak my total investment of 4\nBNB (Liquidity and coins) was 25. I told the chat I\u2019d hold for the next few\nhours and let them cash out. I had made the reddit post, I had shilled and\nrecommended the coin, I would go down with the ship. And I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the end I lost about\n2BNB and 25 BNB in profit. But something insane and wonderful happened. The\ncommunity stuck around. About 90% of the people stuck around and wanted to\nrelaunch the coin. So I reached out to a Dev friend of mine that I\u2019m working on\na larger long term project with. They volunteered to create a new clean\ncontract for Bingus and help provide liquidity for launch. I decided to throw\nin some of the last of my own BNB to do the same, and other from the community\ndid as well. An actual community relaunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bingus 1.0 was a very\nsimple BSC contract. Its something I have strong feelings about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are MANY coins\nthat have elaborate roadmaps filled with buzzwords when I think we can all\nagree many of them are not going to be around long enough to fulfill all their\ndreams. That is exactly why we do not have a roadmap online first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We want to ensure that\neverything we put on our roadmap is something that we will do. With Bingus we\nwant to say what we are going to do and do it. The one thing I never want to do\nis even accidentally mislead the community, and I feel a hype-filled\/buzzword\nroadmap is exactly that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So we will be getting\nup a roadmap shortly but in general, here is the plan. There are other animal charity tokens doing NFT’s before\nus… what we want to do with that is ensure the NFTs we create are custom\/cool\nand representing animals that need the exposure. The ones who have medical\nissues who need more funding, or the ones that have had trouble getting\nadopted.
