Each pixel is an ERC-721 NFT token with its location. Users will have an\nopportunity to buy, sell, rent and paint them to create any picture with any\nlink inside. One million pixels for\nsale: $1 per each pixel. He raised $999k and the last 1000 pixels were sold on\neBay for $38&#8217;100, as the hype goes on, so did the price. F*cking genius.. But\nit was 2005<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>D.\n| Satoshi Club:<\/strong> why you decided to use ERC &#8211; 721\nstandard? as i know there is some other NFTs standards on Ethereum<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1MNFT:<\/strong>\nwait, inspiration background is my favourite topic))<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017 on April Fool\u2019s Day Reddit launched a social\nexperiment called \u201cPlace\u201d. It featured a collaborative pixel art canvas, where\na registered user could place a colored pixel every five minutes. It was an\nepic battle that unfolded across a 1000&#215;1000 grid with 1 million pixels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 1 million users edited the canvas, placing a\ntotal of approximately 16 million tiles, and, at the time the experiment was\nended, over 90,000 users were actively viewing or editing. The pixels were sold just once, so the only person who earned\nwith 1milliondollarhomepage was the creator of 1milliondollarhomepage. Just\nraising money\u2026 Boring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; 2017 (Reddit\u2019s \u201cPlace\u201d) \u2014 No money at all, just\nfun, social experiments.. and new users for Reddit! \u201cJust fun\u201d isn\u2019t a\nlong-term strategy, which is why it was finished in 72 hours. People need\nbetter motivation to continue the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2005 the creators got all the money and gave us old-fashioned\nbanner ads. In 2017 the creators got hype and new users, but users in both\ncases got far less. Looks like an unfair deal in both cases, right? But we\u2019re\nlooking at these failed experiments from our vantage point in 2021.
