Philex Zhang:<\/strong> definitely. I\u2019m Philex Zhang the CEO of Apron Network. I graduated from National Computer Information Content Security Ket Laboratory of Harbin Institute of technology as a PHD student in 2012, and worked in Feitian Safe Ltd as the senior system security analyst for 3 years before moving to New Zealand and worked as a networking engineer since then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cryptography is a key area of our information security\nresearch and it\u2019s safe to say that I have been following the development of\ncryptocurrency since its birth!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong>  As you might know, all the DApp developers\ncurrently have to rely on centralized node service providers such as Infura(I\nthink Infura is already quite well know among even the new comers in crypto\nfield) because the nodes are essentially what connect DApps with the underlying\nblockchain, and all the volume happens there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DApp developers NEED node service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> and the centralized ones\nare currently their own choice<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But theres a problem with centralization. A huge one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> Do you guys remember\naround the end of last year there was this huge incident where Binance,\nMetamask, Coinbase all went down at the same time for around 2 hours?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary | Satoshi Club:<\/strong> Yes, and it was from\nInfura side<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:<\/strong> yes\nit was a disaster<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> Right? I remember seeing\na lot of people panicking and so on and I totally understood their fear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exactly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This happened because Infura forgot to update their Ethereum\nnode on time<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A small mistake in a centralized service provider can\npotentially cause a catastrophe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course the problem was quickly solved after 2 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary | Satoshi Club:<\/strong> Yes, so small mistake\nand so many problems<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> Still it sounded an\nalarm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:<\/strong> Quite\nright! Have you come up with a solution? 😊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> We need node services\nthat won\u2019t just go down when some one in the system made a mistake<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How your service will work?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> With Apron Network\nessentially we aggregate everyone who has the ability to set up their own nodes\nand the developers will be able to choose whoever they want to work with. They\ncan even choose to use several different node service providers at the same\ntime, so that when let\u2019s say one of the nodes goes down, their platform will\nsimply just continue working on other nodes without any problem<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> For node service\nproviders on the other hand, we provide them with a full SDK(software development\nkit) so that they can easily set up their node and connect withApron Network\nthen become a node service provider<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I read in the medium that Apron is\nproviding free services for developers in the Heco ecosystem. Why do you prefer\nto provide free service while you can generate profit from this service? Is\nthis free service temporary or permanent?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s gonna be temporary and we will manage the nodes\nourselves at this stage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> Totally. The\nsignificance is that everyone needs to build on infrastructure. No matter you\nare opening a Restaurant or a club or a I don\u2019t know baseball field, you will\nneed the sewing system in work. Apron Network is built based on substrate\nframework, so we are born with Polkadot blood in a sense. We carried the\ninteroperability which means we won\u2019t just stay on Polkadot ecosystem. Our\nservice platform will be cross chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> Haha I like to say that\n\u201cApron Network has no competitors.\u201d I don\u2019t mean this in a egomaniac way. What\nI\u2019m trying to say is that Apron Network is just a platform and if you are a\nservice provider then you can easily connect your service onto Apron Network\neven if you are already connected with 100 other platforms. And the customers\nwill just choose the services that serve them the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That being said if you are a service provider on Apron\nNetwork you will be competing with other service providers such as API3 or\nChainlink<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But generally speaking I believe the spirit of Web3.0\nis partnership over competition<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides what I\nmention before, what other utility cases will it have? And since you are a\nsystem that will work with a lot of blockchains, what kind of token will it APN\nbe? Will users be able to use it in all those blockchains you offer services\nfor?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> Definitely i like to\nexplain our tokenomics with investors haha<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> The maximum issuance of\nAPN is 1 billion tokens, no pre-mining<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Institutional private sale constitutes 15% of the\ntotal amount and 25\u201330% will be unlocked after listing, while the remaining\ntoken will be unlocked within the following year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team has 5% of the tokens and 15% will be unlocked\nevery 6 months after listing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advisor 3% having 25% unlocked after listing, while\nthe remaining token will be unlocked within the following year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ecosystem construction 17%: these tokens are mainly\nused for LPO (slot auction), market activities, airdrops, etc., and they are\nmanaged by the foundation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philex Zhang:<\/strong> 2. Apron Network charge\na service fee when a service is called, and these tokens will then be destroyed\nor locked, which makes APN a deflationary token<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investors love deflationary tokens<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes! So we are planning to participate in the Kusama\nauction for parachain. And by then we will be needing a huge amount of\nKSM(Kusama native token) to be locked. We need the support from our community\nto basically lock their KSM for us and in return we give them back a really\ngood amount of APN token as rewards<\/p>\n\n\n\n
