The game business has come a long way since the early days of\nits humble beginning and blockchain-based games, that are designed to blend the\nfun and captivating atmosphere of traditional games, with a rewarding financial\nopportunity using crypto technology, have been on the rise, recently. One of such blockchain game, which is aimed at\nproviding a platform for game enthusiasts to combine their passion and interest\ntogether, while earning rewards, is Lucid Lands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lucid Lands is a real-time strategy based game that set\nitself apart from other games in the blockchain industry, which are mostly\nturn-based in nature. In today project highlight, I will be looking at this quintessential\nproject, which is poised to change the perceived boring narratives, associated\nwith some blockchain games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
1.What is Lucid Lands?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Lucid Lands prides itself as the first decentralized NFT play-to-earn game on BSC network that integrates both 3D-animation gaming NFT and a unique 2D computer generated collective NFT market place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a play-to-earn universe where anyone can\nearn token, through skillfully applied game tactics, as well as contribution to\nthe ecosystem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project was built as a fun and educational\nway to present and introduce blockchain technology to various categories of\nplayers, using a simplified approach. Apart from the fun dimension in game\ndeployment, Lucid lands aim to serve a social network characteristics function\nas well as a job platform through the focus on strong community building and\nplay-to earn opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will provide an\nextra earning layer from NFTs, in addition to the earning possibilities from\nsale on the marketplace<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Play to Earn<\/strong>: This is my favorite part of the project and\none of the project essential layer. Players can engage Lucid Lands for in-game\nassets and real reward. Yes! You can obtain actual tokens in Lucid Lands and\nnot just virtual game points that lack tangible monetary values. I am sure that\nyou are interested to learn how the play and reward mechanisms of Lucid Land\nworks, but before I dive deeper into this, let me quickly highlight some Lucid\nLands structures and game assets that are essential to having a successful\nbattle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3.Game assets and structures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Players\nwill need to put some home basic structures in place in order not to lose out\neasily when they enter a battle. Some of these structures are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Main Hall:<\/strong> It is the lifeline of a base. Once your main\nhall is destroyed, you can easily loose the battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Builder House:<\/strong> It is used to upgrade other structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Barrack:<\/strong> Are you interested in developing a unique\narmy that is battle ready at all times? You will need a barrack for the\ntraining, as well as to unlock new army champions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Army Camp:<\/strong> This is for those who desire to recruit new\nunits and increase their army size. Upgrading Army Camp will enable players to\nincrease the size of their Army<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gold Mine:<\/strong> Where are the Gold diggers? The Gold Mine is designed\nfor you to extract gold from underground reserve. You may already be wondering\nwhy you will need to dig the mine for gold. Well, keep reading on as you will\nsurely find the answer by the time you get to the in-game currency section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gold storage:<\/strong> This shouldn\u2019t be hard for you to guess its function.\nThe gold storage is the structure that stores your gold. Upgrading your gold\nstorage means you will be able to store more gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spirit Mine:<\/strong> No! It is not what you think. The Spirits<\/em> that are being referred to are\nnot immortals. They are in-game currencies. The Spirit Mine allows you to\nextract more spirits from the surrounding area of lands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spirit Storage:<\/strong> This storage allows you to store collected\nspirit as you navigate the land. You may need to upgrade it in order to store\nadditional spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ice Turret:<\/strong> Are you thinking of how to slow down the\nmovement and attack of enemies attacking Units? Think no more. Having Ice\nTurret will slow down the movement of your attackers, reduce damage and improve\nyour health points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Air Defense:<\/strong> This game structure will help you to deal\nwith damage and attack flying enemies. I can boldly say that with this\nstructure as part of your assets, you won\u2019t need to worry yourself with your\nenemies area bombardment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rock shooter:<\/strong> In case there is a need to wreck an Area Of\nEffect damage on your enemies, the Rock shooters can be unleashed for this\npurpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Skeleton Tower<\/strong>: This asset can help you when attacking\nranged enemies by increasing attacking range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Defense wall:<\/strong> You will need this protective wall to create\na barrier that will hinder enemies from entering your base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As said initially, there are two sets of NFTs that you will come across as interact with this game. There is the 3-D animated Hero NFT and a 2-D non-animated Pet Shroomies. The Hero NFTs are essential component of the game and they can be bought from the decentralized open NFT marketplace. Shroomies Pets are a unique set of\u00a0<\/strong>5000\u00a0collectible friends of the Heroes of the Lucid Lands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Game Heroes:<\/strong> Lucid Lands has 9 different Heroes NFT and they exist in 4 levels of rarities which are Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. When NFTs are summoned, the probability of getting a Legendary NFT is the rarest, whereas the possibility of summoning a common Heroes is highest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly,\nHeroes NFT APY Rates are highest for Epic and Legendary NFTs. The primary utilities of Games Heroes are for staking\nto earn $LLG, trading on marketplace and in-game boost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each\nHero NFT has 3 attributes which are Attack, Defense and Farming. The Farming\nattribute of a hero allow the Hero to boost in-game farming\/upgrading\/building.\nThe Defense attributes of Hero can be used to increase the defense of structure\nand defense walls. Lastly, the attacking\nfunction help to improve the attacking power of hero troop when they embark on\nan adventure to strike other player home-bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pets NFTs:<\/strong> The Pets NFT collectible in Lucid Lands are referred\nto as Shroomies. Lucid Lands describe them as mysterious creatures that spawned\nout of nowhere in every part of the universe. Each drop of Pets NFT Collections\nare limited to only 5,000 pieces. This means that you will need to be smart and\nfast in order to be able to mint your own Shroomies as soon as they are\ndropped. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\nmight be wondering how to go about the minting your own set of shroomies. The\nprocess is quite easy. You only have to connect to https:\/\/app.lucidlands.io,\npay the price (in BNB) for the shroomy and mint. Easy peasy! The price you pay\ndepends on how many shroomies are left. Shroomies prices increases with\ndecreasing quantity of shroomies in each drop. This progressive price increase was\ndeliberately put in place to ensure that the value of Shroomie will grow over\ntime as more and more Shroomies are minted. You will need to be among the early\nbirds, if you intend to mint your Shroomie at a cheap price, because opportunities\nare only for the people who seize it. Yea… Let\u2019s seize it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although\nthese good looking pets are too attractive to be sent to the battlefield, they\nalso have their own utilities. Firstly, they serve the purpose of in-game\ncosmetic. Additionally, they are appealing as digital collectible and you can as\nwell trade them in Lucid Lands\u2019 marketplace. In addition, owing a pet sets your\nprofile apart because these pets will serve as your profile picture and will\ndifferentiate you from other users that have basic anonymous profile picture\ndisplayed in game, because they do not have a pet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5.\u00a0Real Time Game Strategy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Lucid lands gameplay model is based on a revolutionary\napproach that involve a real-time strategy gaming technique, rather than the usual\nturn-based game approach seen in other games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Real-Time strategy, as utilized in the\ngame, puts players in control and allows them to dictate the pattern of\ngameplay as they desire. This will mean that players can build their base using\ntheir own strategies and can always apply any strategy that can bring the most\nsuccess to them during battles. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
6.\u00a0Lucid Land Gems and In-Game Currencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
$LLG<\/strong> – The main ecosystem token in Lucid\nLands is Lucid Land Gems ($LLG). Just like every precious gem, $LLG is an\nimportant token in Lucid Land and you won\u2019t want to miss out on this gem. Some\nof the utilities of $LLG are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reducing leveling up and upgrading\nduration of Army champions and home bases<\/li>
Buying of additional building house\nand building game assets<\/li>
Buying additional battles<\/li>
Buying of in-game currencies such as\nGold, Spirit and Mana<\/li>
Buying of additional heroes NFT.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
$LLG is available for purchase on pancakeswap.\nIn addition, players can earn LLG through $LLG Mines and winning battles\nagainst another player. I will reveal further details on how this can be done\nby the time I get to the play-to-earn revolution section. In the meantime, I want\nto highlight some other in-game currencies that are available in Lucid Lands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gold<\/strong> \u2013 Gold is the in-game currency that\nis specifically used to build and upgrade structures. Gold can be bought using\nLLG and can also be obtained through Gold Mines, PvE and PvP combat against\nother players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spirit<\/strong> \u2013 It is an in-game currency that is\nused for recruiting and training Army Champions as well as Heroes. It can be\nbought using LLG and can also be obtained from Spirit Mines, PvE and PvP combat\nahinst other players<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mana<\/strong> \u2013 It is used to go to an LLG Mine.\nThe further and bigger an LLG Mine is, the More Mana you will need. Mana can be\nbought using LLG and they can automatically recover daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to these game currencies and\nplatform tokens, Lucid Lands has designed a tokenomics model that charges 8% on\nevery transaction. 3% of this charge will be used for continuous game\ndevelopment that can guarantee long-term sustainability. 2% of the sell tax is\nadded to liquidity availability, in order to ensure an ever-increasing price\nfloor. The remaining 3% will be used for aggressive marketing and expansion of\nthe Lucid Lands ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7.\u00a0Play to Earn Revolution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
At the initial start of the game, you can\ninteract with Lucid Lands PvE game mode in order to acclimatize and familiarize\nwith the game design and environment. During these sessions, players will earn\nsome in game currencies such as Gold, Spirit and Mana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After series of play in the PvE mode, you\nwould have gotten used to the game environment and you can now summon a hero. Hero\nNFTs are summoned by opening portal using your LLG tokens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each hero rarity has its own summon rate and you\nwill get a random Hero NFT that has 2 out of the 3 attributes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After obtaining your first set of\nheroes, you will need to improve your combativeness in the play-to-earn battle\nfront, by building your home basic using game assets basic infrastructure. You\ncan also recruit, build and train your unique army champions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hero building requires the use of in-game\nresources to level up the abilities of heroes. Lucid Lands has 3 hero-levels which are 1-star, 2-star, and\n3-star. To level up a hero to a higher tier, you need to combine similar\ntogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8.\u00a0$LLG Mines and Mining Station<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
$LLG\nmines are one of the key components of the play-to-earn system in Lucid Lands. After\nfortifying your base and your Army, and you feel that they are now strong\nenough, you can now take on a battle challenge in the $LLG Mine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LLG\nMines exists in various sizes. The bigger a mine, the bigger the possible\nreward you can earn from that mine. The amount of Mana required to enter a mine\nincrease with the size of the mine. LLG Mines are also limited by capacity.\nOnly a maximum of 150 players can mine at a particular mining station at a\ntime. The limited mining station adds intrigues and excitements to the whole game,\nbecause it is at this point that the battle line is drawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once\nthe available $LLG mine is fully occupied, you will need to challenge the\nplayers occupying the spots to a battle because no player will want to give up\nhis or her $LLG mine spot easily to others. If you win, you\u2019ll take his\/her\nmining spot. If you lose, you will need to go back to the map\u2019s border and use\nMana to move to any chosen mine and challenge again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
