Hello everyone. Today we would like to\ntell you about the AMA session with our friends from Gauntlet<\/a>. The AMA took place on\nSeptember 5 and our guests were Fury GAU (CTO) and Silass (CEO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total reward pool was $600 and it\nwas splitted into three parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>My name\nis John, I am from the UK and I am the Chief Technical Officer here at Gauntlet\nESport. I would describe myself as a tech geek. I am an experinced gamer and\nprogrammer\/developer. I’ve worked for several years in the cryptocurrency niche\nand have worked for many companies across a broad range of industries including\ngaming; cryptocurrency consultancy, IT Support and content publishing\nplatforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>What companies have you worked for? in the\ncrypto space. What do you think about Brexit, guys? Is this affecting your\nbusiness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>As\nGauntlet mostly an online based business, it doesn’t affect us too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Hi my\nname is James and I am also from the UK and I am the Chief Executive Officer\nfor Gauntlet ESport. I am an experienced copywriter, website analyst and small\nbusiness consultant. I’ve always had a keen interest in gaming systems and\ncryptocurrency since 2013. Up to recently I have been more heavily involved in\nbusiness management and development for small start up’s. Gauntlet ESport came\nabout form both a passion for the industries and seeing a gap in the\nmarketplace for a unique gaming platform. After seeing the huge demand in\ngaming systems and aggregate platforms, I reached out to my colleague John and\nwe decided to form Gauntlet ESport earlier this year. So we are about 6 weeks\nold and there is lots of work to do but we are excited about this project very\nmuch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Fury is more\nof the gamer here than me. Let me tell you a bit about our project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gauntlet ESport started because we\nrealised that most platforms out there didn’t really reward their users for\ntheir time and this was something that we felt was missing for the average\ngamer. As we are both passionate about crypto, it made sense to use to use this\nmedium as a means of rewarding players no matter how experienced they were. So\nwe came up with the idea of a downloadable client. That users could download and access thousands\nof games, get paid to play and do other activities too. It’s private, fast and\nrewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg |\nSatoshi Club: <\/strong>How big the team\nis? are they all based in UK?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>Currently there are the two\nof us in the core team, but we are hiring additional personnel for the\ndevelopment and business side as well. There are a few guys who help us out as\nmoderators and community managers though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You use a\nquark algorithm. Please explain the benefits Gauntlet gets from it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>As many\nof you know Dash and Pivx using the same algorithm, and both of them are\nsecure, fast, and has a proven track record in the crypto sphere, so that’s why\nwe decided to use that algorithm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>Ok, thanks for clarifying. We’ve had DASH as\nour guests yesterday here by the way. A great project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Ah\nwonderful, Our grandparents. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>So it’s mainly security and speed that made\nyou choose this algorithm?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>Yes,\nthat was the two main reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Gauntlet only providing the platform for\nthe games created by others, or do you also create games\/apps for your system\non your own?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Gauntlet\nwill provide a platform where users can choose games that are created by other\nparties. We are not game\/app designers. Currently we have no intention to\ncreate games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>so, every owner of the game will be able to\n“list” their game on your platform? or are there certain criteria?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>If users have games already installed\non their own pc’s, the client will search their system for installed games and\nadd them to the GAU client library so they can plug into the crypto rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has a\ncertain criteria that it has to go through because we will have to check the\ngame code behind to determine if it’s safe to use for our users<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>Do you have any partnerships from the gaming\nindustry?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>We are\nin contact with a few companies already yes, but it would be too early to share\ndetails, as our gaming client is not yet released, we are planning to release\nit in Q4 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>But where do you get the funds from if not\nfrom games who are willing to promote their games? the funds to distribute it to gamers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>The distribution of rewards will come\nfrom our own coins supply which we have set aside for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>And how will it make the difference between a\ngame and a regular app?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU: <\/strong>Well as\nour gaming client will be desktop based, it will only run regular games, it\nwon’t run apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>I see. why not accept games who are paying for\npromotion? Like I have the game X and I want it played by a community of\nskilled gamers. So, I go to you, give Y money and you set a pool to be distributed\namong your users who play that game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Absolutely this can also be done and\nwill be part of our advertising partnership deals that game companies can fund\nus additional rewards to be distributed among a set amount of skilled players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more you play, the more you get rewards.\nDon’t you think that this type of incentive might get addiction to gaming?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Gaming is already addictive for many\npeople however this is not our focus. Our focus is to achieve a platform where\nwe have a very high, responsive and highly skilled pool of gamers that will be\nrewarded for their time. We believe that this will make us a more attractive\nplatform for investors and other gaming companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: Some\ngames are already really addictive even without the incentive. Everybody has to\nbe reasonable how much time they put into playing, need to find the healthy\nbalance between gaming and real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>Do you plan to add any mechanisms to help\npeople find that balance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Game time rewards will only be\ndistributed to actual game play and not inactivity periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>Do you plan to do testing as well for gaming\ncompanies? if they would like to test a game, they would come to you and get\nfeedback from the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>We will be implementing regular\nreward pauses after so many hours of play to prevent people from being continuously\nin front of their game while it’s linked to our platform. Also rewards are only\ngiven to active play and not inactive play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: Absolutely,\nwe would be happy to do that and reward our membership in return with the funds\ngiven to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>BTW, as a curiosity: Did you know that in\nsouth Korea it is forbidden to play video games between midnight and 6 AM? for\nchildren younger than 16. It is nicknamed the Cinderella law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Obviously as a gaming platform we\nwill have a social responsibility in play and this will constitute much of our\nterms and conditions when registering and downloading our client. We have not\nhashed these out yet but there will be protection mechanisms put in place to\naddress this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: We have\nto be in line with local laws, but as Irina said as well, it would be really\nhard to check every user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a collateral in order to join the\nmasternode. What is the amount and why there is need for such a thing?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: Well\neach and every masternode project has a set collateral to set up their\nmasternodes. At Gauntlet, that amount is 5000 GAU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Masternodes are not a requirement to\ndownload the client and play and get rewards FYI. There are no fees attached to\nthe game client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>What about the collateral? What is its\nfunction in your case?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>The collateral (5000 GAU) is the required\namount of GAU to set up and run a masternode successfully.  This amount of coins are locked within that masternode\nmechanism to reduce the amount of coins in circulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>I see. It’s a good strategy to create a\nscarcity of the token. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Yes many coins use them and\nMasternodes are highly sought after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How would you introduce E-sport to normal\nusers who doesn\u2019t have enough knowledge about blockchain? Why E-sport game need\nBlockchain technology?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>I don’t think ESport itself needs\nblockchain technology but there are clear advantages such as; privacy, speed,\nanonomity and exchangiblity. No credit cards are required etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>As long as there are clear benefits – why not?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>Normal users don’t have to learn\nanything about blockchain technology only the very basics. There will be guides\nin place to enable users to direct them anyway. We\nare not bringing gamers to blockchain technology, we are bringing it to them\nbut more as a backend reward system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>For your desktop client?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: We will\nrelease the gaming client beta in Q4 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How is the reward for players\ncalculated? Does it depend on the amount of time they play or their skills as a\nplayer?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silass: <\/strong>The rewards are calculated by the\namount of game – time and the amount of coin available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irina K. | @satoshi_club: <\/strong>Only time? No other criteria like experience,\ngame type, account lifetime etc?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: Yes,\nhowever it’s active game time, so you don’t just start the game and leave it\nrunning, because for that, you won’t get rewarded just for that. Not really, as\nwe want to give a chance for gamers on all levels<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serg | Satoshi Club: <\/strong>What if I leave the computer switched on and\nset an automated algo to move my mouse in the game?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: Well,\nthat won’t work, as we will have an anti-cheating system in place, which will\nlook for those algos and other abnormal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PART 2, TELEGRAM COMMUNITY LIVE\nQUESTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gauntlet ESport have created a game\nclient that pays rewards in exchangable cryptocurrency. What data will a player\nneed to provide to receive a reward? Is KYC required?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: The\nuser only need to provide their GAU wallet address as an identification, it\nwill be connected through an API. No KYC or any personal data needed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: We are\na global project, there is no geographic restrictions, but we need to be in\nline with local laws, so if there will be any restrictions, it will be based on\nthose local laws.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: It\ndoesn’t effected us in a negative way, as we are mostly an online venture, but\nwe had to push our offline E-Sport events, till the pandemic ends. The pandemic\ncreated a mass of people playing online, due to the lockdowns.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because we are passionate about what we doing,\nand we have experience in these areas, we are 100% committed to this project\nlong term.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: The future plans are to be one of\nthe sought after game client in the world. We will launch a streaming platform\nas well to eliminate the regulations what for example Twitch and Youtube has\nfor their users. This platform will be released once our gaming client is fully\nfunctional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: The incentive is the 50% of the\nblock reward, which is 2.5 GAU per block with a 1 minute blocktime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: The biggest challenge that we are\ncurrently facing due to the early stages of the project and due to the small\nteam and minimal resources is finding like-minded investors and support\nnetworks that could really help us progress Gauntlet onto the next stages of\ndevelopment. We are addressing this by doing AMA’s for example and releasing\nweekly and daily news about our project on all social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have plan to launch Gauntlet mobile\nwallet application for easy access of your wallet?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fury GAU<\/strong>: We have a mobile and web wallet\ncreated as well. The mobile wallets are provided by 3rd parties like Trittium\nand Flits Wallet app, our web wallet is runned by us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
