My background has\nprimarily been in traditional finance and banking working in investment\nadvisory across multiple large private banks. After years of being fed up and frustrated with traditional banking\npractices, I left the bank and pursued my interest in the blockchain space\nworking with digital securities, security tokens and crypto. IXS & Security\ntokens were a natural evolution for me given my experience in traditional\nfinance and love for crypto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My background in finance provided exposure to\na vast selection of products from within investment banking and private banking\nworking with both large corporates and high net work individuals. Setting\nup my Blockchain Consultancy and accelerator since the later part of 2017,\nallowed me to see and unlocking the potential of blockchain in various\nindustries, which natural let me back to want to solve the inefficiencies in\ntraditional finance and to be able set precedence to create a whole segment for\nthe future finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said its a little\nmore complicated than that<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IX Swap will be the\nFIRST platform to provide liquidity pools and automated market making functions\nfor the security token (STO) & tokenized stock industry (TSO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform will be\nthe first DeFi platform to facilitate the trading of security tokens through\nlicensed custodians and security brokers which will provide actual ownership\nand claim over these real world assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darren:<\/strong>\nRegarding our team. We are currently over 20 team members now; the teams\u2019\nprofiles are available on Linkedin and our website<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were cautious when\nhiring new team members because we wanted the right mix of people from both the\ntraditional and the new crypto world to build this out. Actually the story of\nIX Swap goes way further back. We have spent over 6 years developing the STO\necosystem infrastructure to build an end-to-end security token issuance\ncompany, and IX Swap then became the next stage of this STO infrastructure that\nwe embarked to build. Darren:<\/strong>\nIt\u2019s great that you have asked this. This is actually quite relevant due to the\nrecent news that Binance and Uniswap had taken down some tokens because they\ndid not have security licenses and these tokens were considered\nsecurities\/security tokens. Just because you create a synthetic version of an\nasset doesn’t mean they lose their tag as securities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main difference\nbetween us and our competitors is that we are working with licensed\nintermediaries and trading with actual security tokens that have claims over\nreal world assets and not just synthetic positions. When you are trading\nsecurities, a license will be required. This is how securities are dealt with\nnow and that\u2019s just the way it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, because we are\nintegrated with licensed intermediaries we have the ability to trade these\ntokens classified as securities and these exiled tokens are welcome to find a\nhome at IX Swap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your \u201cPlan B\u201d once the number of STO\ntoken holders is not growing or even drops for a certain period of time? How\nwould you fullfill your \u201ctanks\u201d with liquidity? You plan to introduce On-chain governance\ncapabilities for managing and implementing changes within the IX Swap protocol\nusing $IXS. As a regulatory conscious and licensed token focused project, to\nwhat extent will users be able to vote for changes and implement proposals on\nyour protocols? What are the decisions that you will allow holders to directly\ninfluence, suggests, manage and vote on? How will your governance be carried\nout and how will you ensure a fair representation of every ones opinions in the\nexecution of platform policies?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darren:<\/strong>\nThe token holders will be able to vote on rewards, benefits, IXS supported\npools and we would look to allow the token holders to have more influence over\nthe governance as the platform develops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you have mentioned\nwe are dealing with regulatory bodies and as such, not all aspects of the\ncompany will be governed by the token holders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of that, as we\nare developing the economic models for each asset class that IX Swap supports,\nholders will be able to influence the economic models that are able to\nconfigure that confines which the asset classes operate under, allowing holders\nto dictate fair market, to reduce the number of inefficiencies and arbitrage\nopportunities as each asset class evolves through the Defi space. IX Swap has set up an IL Insurance mechanism to\nreduce the effect of Impermanent loss on liquidity providers. This include 8%\nfrom ecosystem fund, 5% from trading fees and 50% from penalty. How is this\ninsurance shared among individual Liquidity providers in situations where\nImpermanent Loss actually occurs?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happens to the fund if IL does not occur?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
