The tLC is a tokenized version of a traditional letter of credit. Instead of having a paper document to prove funds are available, this proof is now digital. It shows there is actual value held in escrow and smart contracts allow for this escrow to be released automatically when conditions are met (such as when goods have been shipped and released).

tLC also allows us to wrap this in an NFT which provides additional underlying value to that NFT and essentially allows the loans to be bought and sold or bundled.

Similar to the tLC, the tBL serves as a tokenized and digital version of the Bill of Lading. In traditional supply chain, the BL is important for trade and is the main document used to describe the shipment (what is it, where it came from, where it’s going, who owns it, who is shipping it, how much it is worth, etc). A tokenized version of this gives both benefits of digitization and blockchain. In traditional supply chain, there is one physical BL which must be mailed and signed and passed on to ensure no fake copies. A tokenized BL can be digitally signed, passed on electronically via blockchain to ensure it is genuine, can interact with smart contracts and can also be wrapped in an NFT like the tLC
