Can you please introduce yourselves to us, how you got into crypto and how PKT Cash started?

I’ll say DONE when I’m complete

So I’m Caleb James DeLisle, I’ve been in open source software and research for about 10 years now

First major project was cjdns which is a piece of software designed to allow people to build their own networks in their neighborhood

So question people ask is why is there only 1 or 2 companies providing eveyone the internet

on the internet you have choice of everything, but you don’t have choice of who provides you the internet

Problem is that network infrastructure is very expensive, AND it’s very difficult to manage a network

it’s a business

and the more fiber you own, the more profit you can make off of it

This model just lends itself to monopolies

So anyway, back to who I am

I got started working on a project to make it easy for regular people to own their own piece of internet infrastructure

but thing is, this was 2011, and in 2011 there was no way to make *fast* micropayments over crypto

We had bitcoin, and I was in the bitcoin community a bit, I have a couple lines of my code in the Bitcoin project

but nothing *fast*

Anyway, I spent 7 years in research, doing funded projects for the French and European states

Built a lot of nice open source projects, including CryptPad

But around 2017 finally Lightning Network started to mature enough that it seemed like fast micropayments would finally be possible

So this was when I met my colleagues and we started talking about a blockchain

PKT is novel because the mining algorithm is based on bandwidth

whereas Bitcoin is proof of work — effectively proof of expended electricity

PKT is a “bandwidth hard” proof of work, so you mine it using your unused internet bandwidth

anyway, I’ve rambled enough on that question so DONE

So what is PKT Cash all about?

It’s a fork of bitcoin with a roadmap around the vision that everyone can own and operate their own piece of the internet

The mining algorithm is PacketCrypt – the world’s first bandwidth-hard proof of work

And 20% of every new block mined goes to an institution called the Network Steward, which helps build out the ecosystem through transparent competitive grant-making

Remember I have 7 years experience in research, well with the Network Steward we do basically what governments do except we’re funding people in the PKT ecosystem to build things.

How many people do you currently have working on this project?

It’s a good question really, if I were to make an estimate I would say around 30, but I don’t know all of them

This is a unique project, it’s not like one of these centralized tokens, there’s no premine, no investors, no CEO, etc

Yet unlike a project like Bitcoin, it has a robust roadmap

And that’s for 2 reasons

#1 is because of course there’s the Network Steward to help that roadmap happen

but #2, and more interesting, is because the roadmap of PKT is more like kind of a “city plan”, in that many of the items of the roadmap are intended to be developed by for-profit companies inside of the PKT ecosystem

Think of a city, the roads, the water, the electricity, these are all public services

But the restaurants, the shops, the plumber, all of these are private enterprise

PKT uses PacketCrypt, the world’s first high-bandwidth proof-of-work. You can earn PKT Cash (PKT) when you connect your home or office Internet to the PKT network. Can you offer us more information about PacketCrypt? How does this bandwidth proof of work work? What are the PacketCrypt proof-of-work utilities? What kind of reward can be obtained from this proof of work?

Ok so I’ll answer in reverse order

What is the reward -> you get PKT for mining, just like any mined coin

What are the utilities of the PoW -> The actual PoW itself is waste, because this is a fully decentralized blockchain and not a “token” with “validators”, there is no secure way to reuse the work. However, the use of bandwidth incentivises people to install bigger network infrastructure in their community which can then be shared.

How does PacketCrypt work -> This part is fairly complicated, because like I said, it’s an actual fully decentralized PoW algorithm, no “validators” or funny business. The best way I can describe it is that it is a cryptographic problem which becomes easier if you collaborate with other miners, and collaborating requires you to communicate with them, a lot.

Well I’m not big on censorship myself. The internet has made it this far by not censoring really anything.

We use services like Telegram or Mastodon or Twitter, and they choose what to censor

but it is astonishingly difficult for them to actually get kicked off of the internet for not censoring some “fake news” or something

The problem is once you decide that you’re going to make it literally impossible to access fake news, then you have to decide what is fake

And gues what, every politician in the world wants to tell you what fake news is

PKT technology lowers the barriers of entry into the world of internet service. While the goals looks clear to me, please explain why you decided to get the mission done by using blockchain and crypto? What advantages does this bring to end users compared to traditional service providers? How do you plan to spread the service geographically? Thanks!

Any central operator can be shut down

And believe me, there are people in this world who want to shut down the internet

The internet is a real problem for every dictator and every tyrant

because it’s regular people talking to eachother and saying “ok this is a bunch of crap”

So there are concerted pushes, not only in repressive countries where we all expect this, but also in western countries

there’s always some excuse

And what we’re doing here is building a network with no kills switch, no way to turn it off

If we succeed, I believe that by 2100 there will be no more dictators and no more wars

If we fail, I fear we may end up in a nuclear entanglement bad enough to put ourselves back into the stone age

Could you explain for those who are not profs how will it work for regular users? What should be done step by step to get your internet?

and everyone gets paid for what they contribute

And nobody needs to be an expert at networking, because all of the network administration will be managed by tech companies kind of like email providers

And if you want to be able to access the network anywhere, pay any one of dozens of companies for access and you can use the network

Ok so when you think of a Cloud ISP, think about a VPN provider

it’s a company, they know how to do networking, they have really smart employees

but they don’t own fiber to your neighborhood, they’re a startup somewhere

When you think about an Edge Point, think about your neighbor’s wifi

It’s the Edge of the network, hence *Edge* Point

They *do* own fiber in your neighborhood — or more precisely, they lease it from their provider, of a business line, or a wireless link, etc

The Edge Point is responsible for keeping their equipement turned on and functioning

the Cloud ISP is who you call if you’re having internet trouble

and the Cloud ISP pays the Edge Point for their “raw” bandwidth and packages it into a product with service, support, invoicing, etc, which makes it something you can rely on

Looking at the organization of the PKT “Network Steward”, I understand that 20% of every mined block goes to the Network Steward addresses and these addresses can be changed by PoS based vote. What major rules governs the payments to these Steward addresses?.. I also saw that it is possible for every PKT holder to impeach a steward and employ a new one provided that the steward isn’t fulfilling it’s role..Can you elaborate more on this voting process? How will the votes be conducted?..Under what condition(s) will the impeachment call be executed?

Oh that is a very friendly question haha

So yes, the Network Steward has a lot of rules it operates under

We never wanted to do any kind of “premine” or “founders fee” but we still wanted to be able to make the ecosystem move forward

From my experience doing state funded research projects, I know how to build structures to prevent conflicts of interest and such, because in research you have to

So the Network Steward, firstly, operates in full transparency

Every coin that it has ever allocated has a paper trail of what project that coin was allocated for, what were the deliverables, when was it proposed, and why it was accepted

And if Network Steward funds are NOT allocated, within 90 says, they are burned by the blockchain

To date, the Network Steward has burned more coins than it has allocated

This is somewhat unfortunate, because finding great projects is hard, but it is also a benefit to PKT holders because some 400mn coins are taken permanently out of circulation.

Now on the “impeachment” vote, we built in a mechanism by which, if the Network Steward stopped serving the community in a horribly bad way, it could actually be replaced. To do this requires over 50% of all issued coins, so it is incredibly hard, but it is a mechanism to protect against NS malfeasence.

The votes are part of the blockchain, the standard wallet can vote when making a payment.

People don’t do this, but to date the Network Steward team has really worked hard to have an unimpeachable character

It has a reputation for saying “no” to a lot of projects, but better to refuse a good project then to pass a bad one and be accused of corruption

Why did you still base your operation on PoW and how do you intend to promote an environmental friendly system?

Energy is not environmentally harmful, 19th century energy technology is. We have incredible abundance of energy at our fingertips via Thorium nuclear cycle. It’s not a theory, it’s proven, it really works, everyone agrees it works, but the nuclear industry keeps on using old designs and building expensive inefficient powerplants that are not inherenlty safe because it makes them more money.

I can’t promise it will be us that does it, and not someone else. But what I can say is we’re going to give it all we’ve got and I don’t know anyone else who is really focusing on this yet. Great question! The exchange listings were managed by “working groups” of community members who came together and decided to do them. Businesses in the community pooled their money to fund them.

Could you please provide us with information to which we could have access to these Ethical communication Guidelines? So the point of the Ethical Communication Guidlines is that people sometimes get too excited and start saying things which are a little too much like financial advice. This has not been much of an issue for our project but it is an issue in the crypto ecosystem. We wanted to really be a leader in good citizenship as a crypto project. There is no specific benefit for following the guidelines except that Network Steward funded projects are expected to adopt the guidelines or at least explain how they plan to make sure their communications are ethical.

We probably will. There are a lot of governments out there which really need to stop doing what they’re doing. But this is where the “no kill switch” part comes in. China tried to ban cryptocurrency and see how much trouble they’re having already? They are even cracking down on their own government ministries for mining BTC. If we can do that but for free and open internet then the whole world will become a democracy

PKT intoduced a new standard of token issuance called the Token Strike, which will launch Q1 2022, can you elaborate more on new standard of token issuance called token strike?
The objective of The Network Steward is to reduce barriers of entry to support the PKT Network in the pursuit of increased individual autonomy and privacy. In order to achieve these goals, The Network Steward will occasionally meet to review funding proposals and choose which projects to grant PKT to. Can you give a deeper insight of this PKT funding system?
I noticed from your website there is Network Steward system PKT which is a Multi-signature wallet which requires 3 out of 5 signatures in order to make a Payment. Can you please explain more on the Network steward system and how it works?

Regarding TokenStrike, the team who is working on this has been slowed down because they’ve sadly been forced to flee from Russia . I don’t know when they will be able to begin delivering milestones but I know they are still excited to work on the project.

What allows PKT to work is the Lightning Network blockchain, but this blockchain is considered unusable because it is somewhat tedious to get an Exchange that supports it, nowadays it is hardly used. What do you consider important about the Lightning Network for PKT and Bitcoin? regarding the difficulty of investing using LN?

We’re working really hard on stablizing the LN code. PKT is built on top of the bitcoin golang codebase, the same codebase used for LND, so we have a head start. The code does need extra attention to be robust but this is what we are working on every day.

Shinobiverse (our first full release, we’re aiming to make multiple games) is an open world P2E game that fully integrates NFTs allowing players to create real value in a virtual world. Shinobiverse offers gamers all over the world a thrilling new experience in the form of a real-life roleplay game in which participants can earn $SHINO tokens while playing.

They’ve done their whole marketing strategy and content creation.

I read that in ShinobiVerse there are 4 ERAs (MEDIEVAL ERA, SEMI-MODERN, MODERN and HYPERMODERN) so, could you briefly describe the characteristics of each era, their opportunities, the benefits they offer to players and tell us, will players have to go through each ERA or can they select the ERA they want to play in and lastly tell us, will there be any requirements to enter each era, if so, could you tell us what they are?

So we’re moving so fast that our website guys are still busy with updating the info atm. We were aiming for 4 different maps with the 4 era’s, but we have now decided to start with 1 map that has the medieval and hypermodern era clashing. This will get more focus on the looks and feel of the map instead of doing 4 at one time.

So then you will see beautiful japenese gardens but some hypermodern neon left behind in them but also a hypermodern area in the map that will have some charactarics of the medieval style. Later on we can release expansions through DLC’s which people can buy, this will give access to the new era’s.

The Shinobi Game Ecosystem consists of a dual token Economy based on a cronos chain bridge with Polygon network and uses NFT collectables and I also noted that when users enter the shinobi world it important that user have tokens as bounty for other players. Can you share more information the Shinobi Dual token economy? Why do you choose to adopt a dual token economy? Can you briefly share on NFT collectables in Shinobiverse? Can you explain on token as bounty which users should have to enter into the shinobi world? What are the utilities, effects of Bounty and what are the advantages of users entering the shinobi world with these tokens Bounty?

We’ve decided to build on Cronos and bridge with Polygon so the ‘real’ tokens are more safe, and because Polygon transaction fees are extremely low. In the event of unforseen hacks or exploits (which we will have tested A LOT before we will release) the $SHINO token on Cronos won’t be directly affected. The in-game token will be built on Polygon and you will be able to swap those for the ‘real’ tokens on CRO.

To explain more about the bounty, we want the players to be able to set tokens on somebody’s head, just like you can do in GTA Online. This way you keep the playfield fair and players can get together to kill (for example) a player that is way more powerful then they are.

Well to start off the great team we have. I’ve never seen such a diverse team put so well together! Marketing, content, creative direction, influencers, everything is working together very well. We get the 15 people that are leading the project together about 3 to 4 times a week, so that all 40+ people working on the project are being directed in the best way possible.

Also because FinalFilm has already worked with a lot of NFT collections and NFT games, this team has a BIG network. Everything we have questions about we get an answer for, from the people who have been there and done that.
Just like the guys over at Moonlab, who have the perfect influencers for this project because they also spend a lot of time networking.

For the game we’re going for an unique style that I haven’t seen before anywhere, more content about this soon. I believe we will get far with this project because of the time and effort that has been and will be put into the graphics.

And as for a third reason we care about community a lot, we will share updates regularely and stay in touch with every single investor that will get in our pre-sale. Our mods work day and night!

We will make a story mode with a tutorial that you have to complete first, so nobody has to start unexperienced. But ofcourse we will encourage players to find out new smart ways to get better then the rest. This can also be done by joining a ‘gang’ (clan/faction) in which there are other players at your level of skill so you can compete with other gangs.

Main difference between versions are graphics, regions, animal list, their behavior. The only version which will be accessible for now is Alpha version, we have Pre-Alpha in order to test it and upgrade it. We will implement AI animal behavior, more guns, animals and so on. When analyzing Metashooter token utility, we can see that each hunter (player) buys hunting season and tournament tickets with MHUNT token. Hunting equipment such as guns, dogs, vehicles, baits are purchased with MHUNT token. All hunting services such as rest in hunters house, equipment rent are purchased by MHUNT token. So, as far as I get the first utility will be purchasing a ticket to start playing. Then players are able to create/participate in tournaments by acquiring tickets. Please tell us how players can earn MHUNT? Is there a way to get rewarded in MHUNT while playing, staking or voting DAO proposals? Thanks!

About hunting lands:

You can have even empty hunting land and if other players will hunt down animals in your zone you will receive a percentage from hunted animals value. Also you can build a hunting house where you can host other players which need to recharge stamina. Bigger house you have, the more players you can host. There are several house tiers depending on how big your land is, also it makes an influence on stamina recharge speed.You can even rent out storage space for other hunters to place their bigger equipment such as vehicles or you can use house for your own comfort.

About breeding:

You can breed dogs in a dog breeding farm which will be located in the industrial zone of MetaShooter world, later on selling on marketplace for other hunters. Bigger land you have, the more dogs you can breed.

About tower lands:

There are two tiers for tower lands, tower tier depends on its size and height. Height is for better vision, size is for more players to fit. Owner gets a percentage from each player which hunts down animals from the tower. (Animal value percentage is bigger than hunting land percentage from hunted animals).

General rewards on lands:

Every land owner gets a percentage from collected season tickets.

Tower and hunting land owners gets a percentage from collected hunting tournament tickets.

Plus, depends on your business strategy and land size you can get extra monetization possibilities such as: storage rent, shooting area, land rent and etc.

The XDC token is the underlying utility token that powers XDC Network Hybrid Blockchain. The XDC token acts as a settlement mechanism for DApps built on the XDC Hybrid Blockchain. XDCe was the token that was built as a layer 2 on the Ethereum network but we launched our mainnet and we’ve been live since Jun of 2019.  The XDC token was 1:1 to the XDCe token but XDCe has already been phased out and no longer in circulation or tradable.  We have been working on releasing a paper with the breakdown of our tokenomics.  We can’t tell people to hold XDC for any reason.  We concentrate on developing and growing the network ecosystem by developing dapps that will allow our users to interact with our network in a very easy and efficient way.

I am very much attracted to XinFin XDPoS mechanism,which is a way of validating transactions that occur on XinFin’s (XDC) Hybrid Blockchain and appending those to the truth ledger.You also said that XinFin’s Delegated Proof of Stake uses of real-time voting to elect a pool of validators (or delegates). So can you explain to us when say you make use of real-time voting to elect a pool of validators? How is XinFin XDPoS mechanism different from alternative consensus algorithm?How many delegates or validators are chosen for each block ?It is also said that the network validators are responsible for preserving the sanctity of XinFin’s (XDC) Hybrid Blockchain Network. So what if along the line a validator acts in a dishonest way, are there some kind of penalty meted on him/her? Can users vote on delegates by pooling their token into a staking pool and linking them to a particular delegates? Please provide more info on your XDPoS mechanism.Thank

XDPoS relies on the architecture of 108 validating masternodes, and up to 192 standby masternodes.  Every block two of the 108 validating masternodes are randomly selected, one masternode creates the new block and the second masternode validates it.  These two masternodes are chosen on a random round-robin schedule.  All validating masternodes share the 5.5 XDC minted as a reward each block.  Standby nodes are rotated into the validating pool when a validating node is rotated out for a liveness violation or is striked from the pool due to malicious activity.

With our new XDP0S 2.0 consensus we are able to guarantee zero forking in block creation when adversarial nodes (bad actors) make up less than 1/3 of the validating node pool.  In the unlikely case that adversarial nodes take over more than 1/3 of the validating node pool the XDPoS 2.0 forensic monitoring built into the consensus algorithm will irrefutably identify the adversarial nodes and punish them by slashing them from the node list.  This punishment is severe because slashing of an adversarial node involves the burning of some or all of the 10M XDC that the node owner staked to join the node pool.

At the foundation we do not necessarily interact with enterprises so we couldn’t comment on what they ask. XinFin Fintech deals with the enterprise side. But I can tell you from our interaction with different projects wanting to move to our network, or build on our network. What drives them to us is our cheap transaction fees, and the scalability of our network. We’ve had projects that have migrated from Ethereum to the XDC Network because of gas fees and because we’re EVM compatible, any decentralized application or project that is currently on ETH can easily migrate to us.  We are also ISO 20022 compliant and that is another feature that attracts projects to us.

How do I personally see the XDC Network changing people’s lives in five years?  This is a great question because it allows us to highlight the ethos behind the XDC Network, and when I say that I mean ethos of the network of people helping to grow adoption of the XDC Network.  We are focused on closing gaps.  Specifically, XinFin is focused on closing the trade finance gap, by helping Micro/Small/Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) get access to the global trade funding that typically only the largest entities have access to.  What is really cool about this, and this is me speculating, is that retail investors will probably be able to play a role in funding global trade finance by staking their XDC in a pool backing a stable coin that is used for things like tokenization of trade assets.

The XDC Network Double Validation (DV) is similar to some existing PoS-based blockchains such as Cardano. In the process, each block is created by a block producer also known as a masternode. A block producer is primarily a masternode that takes its block creation permission turn following a pre-determined and circular sequence of masternodes in each epoch.  The difference between other blockchains and the XDC Network is that it requires the signature of two masternodes on a block for the block to be published or pushed on the ledger or blockchain.

First question I am choosing. This is a great question because it highlights the benefits of the hybrid blockchain. I saw a similar question about this as well but here we go. Our network is hybrid because it is a fork of GOETH for the public state of the network, and a fork of Quorum the JP Morgan blockchain. This give the network the advantage of having a private state and a public side as well. So businesses can keep public data accessible internally as externally and the private state allows to keep data secured and off the eyes of those not intended to see that data. So banks and institutions could really benefit of such features and capabilities of the network.

Hybrid means that the XDC Network has both a public and private state. The public side of the network is a fork of Go Ethereum and the private side is a fork of JPM’s Quorum. What it means is that a financial institution can create a private network on the XDC Network, using a masternode as the connector between the two. They can keep sensitive transactions private on the private side, while pushing information to the public side as necessary.

Question number 3 for me. We currently have a total of 201 nodes on our network. Out of those nodes, 108 are validators and the rest are standby nodes. The required amount of tokens for a node is 10 million XDC tokens. The rewards are 10% APY for validators, and 8% for standby nodes. Currently we are working on way to allow community members to stake XDC but that has not been released yet. We are working hard to bring this to our community members as this has been one of the most requested features.

We are about to release a governance dApp that allows a person to create a voting proposal on the dApp, whitelist addresses who can cast vote, and handle the actual voting on the proposal. There are privacy features built in so that the proposal and votes aren’t public. This dApp will be available to anyone who wants to use it. The XDC Foundation will use it for votes through the DAO.

Question #4: The XDC Network has had double validation since inception. Our mainnet launched in Jun of 2019. We explained what double validation means and how it works. Additional to that, our latest update to our network, Andromeda, added a forensic capability to our network where if a node acts maliciously on the network, it is taken offline. This keeps the network secure. I can’t speak for what other networks are doing.

XMANNA business model is designed to reward all the stakeholders which include the end users with a fair distribution. This can look a bit different from product to product, but for example with our SDK a game developer can bring a skilled game to plug in and the revenue split would be 30% XMANNA, 30% Game Developer, 40% to the Users Prize and Rewards pool –  then if you shift over to the Sports Team Loyalty App the split then includes the team in the distribution but keeps the 40% going back to the Users. But the core business model is the Sports market and providing them with new entertaining software solutions that help them engage and monetize more efficiently they then market to their existing fan bases. These products are providing a brand new revenue stream (and data) for teams, game developers and even advertisers. We have an updated whitepaper being released in about 6 weeks with more information. Revenue sharing model is to primarily give back to the ecosystem where we take a significant portion of the revenue and put it towards leaderboard, prizes and rewards. This works across skilled cash/crypto games but also across subscription models and we aim to do this across the board in all our revenue models. Now in the near future as well our fans and users are XMANNA partners and it will always remain this way

Backstage is not depending on the crypto market for one simple reason, is creating is own network of Events, Festivals, Concerts and payment system in Venues and Clubs (thanks to our POS WALLET) where we have signed contracts that allow us to have a real AGENDA during all year!(supply and demand). Those partners are actively involved and financially committed to the project itself. In the future a stable coin can be taken into consideration of course. At the moment our buyback structure is gonna protect the value of the token and allow an organic growth of it. Every player in the Industry has a key role for us; we saw that since the beginning, involving people such as Promoters, PR, owners of clubs etc, help us to reached out more audiences around the world, that’s why we call our Ecosystem, THE STAGE and who participate on it BACKSTAGERS and BACKSTAKERS. Everyone is important for the success of this project and the mass adoption of crypto, nft and metaverse.

Our updated whitepaper will show the more agnostic side we have pivoted towards. Polygon is the primary chain we are launching on but we already have bridges in place for BSC and ethereum – we plan to support faster cheaper blockchains with our products to be able to utilize – but we also plan on bridging over tokens that are popular from slower networks so that they can still be used to game with or engage with in the metaverse.

You are correct with the issue with marketing – if you notice our business model is focused around providing products directly to the teams – in their name, not XMANNAs – so when we release an application with the team it is the Team’s application they are telling all of their millions of fans to go and download. Sports marketing is one of the most effective and that is why you see so much money from other companies go into it, and with our business model and plan to spread to a multitude of teams and leagues you can see how the potential adds up.

Our smart contracts, ticketing platform, marketplace and backend are being audited by Hacken continuously and a significant portion of funds will be diverted in cyber security department to ensure the safety of our products and platform. We really want to put heavy pressure on anyone who wants to try and copy what we are doing – this is why we are giving up so much revenue back to the users, because ultimately it is the end-users who are the most valuable part of any product – and we want to have products that are pumping so much life-changing rewards and opportunities that it wont be believable. We also will always keep our products focused on bringing the mass market to the blockchain but making it simple and accessible while also offering blockchain functionality for the ones who are more familiar.
