I am engaged in several large-scale international trades of commodities including metals and lumber, and involved in the crude oil trade between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
Since 1980, I have been working with interest in the seed business. Beginning of 2015, I have developed an interest in blockchain and since then, have established a deep interest in Microtuber, a company that combines agriculture and blockchain.

I am the co-founder for Coin Genesis, a blockchain and platform development company, and previously was employed as the Chief Security Officer for Black Shield.

You have highlighted that Microtuber company will be using eco-friendly farming methods. Proliferation
technology, microorganisms, and organic fertilizer are the given examples by your team. Can you deeply explain these eco-friendly methods? Currently, almost all countries are using inorganic fertilizers and chemicals to enhance the harvest. Will you be able to gain similar results by using organic fertilizer and other options? How do your team members get knowledge and practice to use eco-friendly methods in a productive manner? Are there any educated/experienced people in your team on eco-friendly farming? In addition to this “eco-friendly” factor, are there any reasons to choose these methods?
Wonik:
Eco-friendly farming is a very scientific method. All crops come from nature
and have been adapted for thousands of years. With the advancement of science,
we have developed and used pesticides to protect against chemical fertilizers
and pests. These chemical fertilizers and pesticides contaminate the soil and
increase crop tolerance.
Eventually, the nutrients in the crop will decrease and the immunity to grow on its own will decrease. To correct this, we need to go back to eco-friendly farming.
Our company has researched, developed, tested, and verified these problems for 10 years. We have grown all crops in an eco-friendly (organic) way using 40 kinds of minerals and herbal medicines extracted from nature. The result is a surprising 20%-30% crop yield increase. This method has been applied and cultivated in several countries for many years, developing organic seed potatoes and organic saponin rice. This is a new seed.
As a result of testing our rice at a national research institute, no heavy metals or chemical components were found, and 50.4mmg/g was extracted compared to 2mmg/g saponin from conventional rice. This is a result corresponding to 20 times the saponin content of ordinary rice.

I fully understood that Microtuber’s business type is mainly on the agricultural sector. However, I was surprised to discover that Microtuber will be inducting and introducing NFT products into its ecosystem through its “Farming for NFT” project that will be launched in the third quarter of 2022. Agriculture and blockchain technology is clearly two different fields, let alone the NFTs so can you please explain and elaborate to us how would Microtuber utilize NFT features and mechanism in products and services? What should the community expect from your NFTs?

Yes, we agree. Agriculture and blockchain are two different fields that Microtuber has taken on to create synergy between farmers and users. As an agriculture blockchain company, we are involved in R&D and Technical Developments.
Microtuber’s blockchain business model at its core is defi, yield farming, and staking.
For the defi aspect, we have created a unique 1-year staking roadmap that consists of crowdfunding campaigns. Each staking event will allow Microtuber to create new agricultural products that are enhanced with special nutrients, like Saponin, and tested with lab results to show transparency of the innovation. We plan to continue to create and implement defi strategies in all our platforms, including the upcoming MetaFarm.

Now to understand better how we plan to implement NFTs in our ecosystem. We are currently building the metaverse architecture for our upcoming development, MetaFarm.

By introducing the P2E element, users can participate in staking with crops harvested through farming and exchange them for MCT. Additional rewards will be given to users who own LAND or complete various missions.
LAND, SEED, and items will be projected as NFTs to show ownership and provide a utility function in our MetaFarm. We will also incorporate NFTs in Seed-Box for those who decide to use the platform to stake in MCT. Stakers will be able to receive exclusive NFT items that can be used right away in the metaverse.

How will these professional AgriTech farmers, train users and other farmers especially small farmers to improve their skills in agriculture, staking, and crowdfunding? Identifying a good farmer is difficult. But good crops are easier to identify.
Heavy metals and pesticides are found in many crops harmful to humans. For example, if you feed some crops on our table to fish, there are cases in which they die without lasting even 10 seconds. We are made up of hundreds of billions of cells. No matter how good a person’s immunity might be, what would happen if you consumed these toxin-rich crops every day?
We are educating ourselves that we can produce good crops as much as we want through the campaign. Many farmers say there is nothing we can do to increase production. Yield is very important to farmers.
Therefore, Microtuber has developed a way to address these farmers and change their viewpoint in yield farming. Now farmers are changing and starting to replace them with better yielding crops. This year Papua New Guinea introduced our organic techniques. It will come out as a commodity next year.

myfarm marketplace is our 2nd technical development that is a crucial part of
the Microtuber ecosystem.
our first technical development, the seed-box platform, will allow users to stake MCT tokens in select crowdfunding campaigns hosted by farmers to help fund their farming project.
Once crowdfunding is complete, the funds will allow farmers to grow these products and harvest them and allow these staked items to be sold on Microtuber’s myfarm marketplace app, available on ios and android.
Applying blockchain technology creates a unique and fun approach to staking in farms and supporting farmers (staking in real-life agriculture products) and users can actually purchase these unique products on the myfarm marketplace with MCT.

That is correct, the whole process cannot be solely dependent on smart contracts, as there are many processes at play.

Microtuber has been operating in the agriculture supply chain business before blockchain was implemented into the ecosystem.
We allow users to connect
with farmers through our crowdfunding platform, Seed-Box. The staked funds will
allow the farmers to plant, grow, and harvest our seeds and to be sold in local
markets and our myFarm marketplace.
We are building a strong community bond and trust by being transparent with all our R&D innovations in agriculture through lab tests that are open and shared on all our social media. We listen to our community’s suggestions as well. All voices are heard.
As an example, there was a recent demand for us to enhance Saponin content in coffee beans, because coffee is one of the most consumed items by a scalable standard, every day.
Saponin is a natural glycoside found in plants that have reaps of health benefits. Microtuber spent heavy research on creating a formulated organic fertilizer that boosts Saponin content in agriculture products during the growing process.

Yes, we currently have held a few buybacks and token burns to increase the value of mct token and keep a healthy sustainable token economy. We plan to continuously do so, periodically. Burns can be checked on our etherscan for transparency.

Microtuber launched its myfarm Marketplace app in the month of September to connect people and farmers. Additionally, Layer 2 Multichain Transfer Protocol (L2-MCTP) will be developed and launched in Q1 of 2022. Can you tell us how this L2-MCTP will work in your marketplace? How will it improve users’ experience in trading and staking agricultural goods and assets? What are the opportunities/benefits this L2-MCTP will bring to your ecosystem and your Users?

L2-MCTP (Layer 2 – Multi Chain Transfer Protocol) technology is applied to myFarm Marketplace, making it easier and faster to swap than other cross-chain bridges, allowing users to purchase products with the MCT token of the desired chain and freely deposit and withdraw the asset in the chain of their choice. This is especially useful for cross-chain adoption because a lot of users who are not familiar with cross-chain usage will be able to swap MCT between chains very easily on the app.

So I just wonder about the security and safety of the Microtuber project, do you already do an audit for the smart contract? and how is the result?
Edward:
I know we have spoken about our certik audit and security, but I would like to explain further about our cross-chain bridge security.
Many are concentrated on smart contract security, but also the scheme of designing a blockchain technology and security of servers is very important as well.
for security, we used a multi-validator scheme to create our cross-chain bridge.
The microtuber’s cross-chain bridge is built with a total of 5 servers including 3 validator servers and 2 relayer servers. when the token swap is in progress, the same information (TxID, TxTime, TxBlock) is transmitted to the three validator servers and is transmitted to the relay server through the internal verification service. In this case, token swap is performed only when two or more validator servers among the three validator servers transmit the same information.
in addition, as the three validator servers are completely independent servers from each other, it is impossible to send a false transaction if a validator is hacked, and it has the advantage of being able to swap in another relayer server even if one relayer server has a problem.
Microtuber will always audit and take extra steps to create a secure environment when building all of our technical developments.

Yes, correct, we are a defi staking platform at its core. We host real-agriculture crowdfunding campaigns that users can participate by staking with MCT. There will be announcements when we host any new staking campaigns, as well as users, are able to view them on our staking roadmap to plan ahead.
Most of our staking campaigns provide over 105% APR and will help users produce passive income while funding farmers to help fund their land.
You will be able to stake directly on the seed-box website: https://seed-box.io whenever there is a new staking campaign subscription period.
Because we are now multi-chain (erc20 and bep20), users will be able to stake with the chain they wish to use and receive the staked rewards in erc20 or bep20.

Micro means small, and Tuber means potato or an enlarged structure of roots in plants. We combined the words Micro and Tuber to create an idea that something so small can save the world from hunger.
