Part
1 — introduction and questions from the Telegram community
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Hello dear community. Welcome to
another AMA session.
Today our friends from
Strong Node are here to share with us. @StrongNode_CEO welcome to Satoshi Club😃
Jonah
🏅🎹 | Satoshi Club: @StrongNode_CEO
Welcome to Satoshi Club we are Glad and Excited to have you here today 😊
Daniel
Saito : Wow I am excited to be here, as we are all
Satoshi’s.
💪
.. and we like to stack
em too!
Jonah
🏅🎹 | Satoshi Club: 👍.. How are you doing today?
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Of course we are, thank you to be here😁
Daniel
Saito: Glad to be here.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: @StrongNode_CEO let’s begin with an
introduction about you, what inspired you to create the project?
Daniel
Saito: Hello. I am Daniel Saito and I am the CEO and
Co-founder of StrongNode. I started computing since age 8 and haven’t really
stopped since. Worked in the industry
upon becoming the legal age of 16. Worked in all aspects of computers from
building them, fixing them, supporting them to selling them. I am self taught
programming. Dropped out of college to work full time and got my foot in the
door in the industry.
Since I was a college
dropout, I had to work twice as hard to prove myself and over compensated in my
drive to touch all aspect of infrastructure.
I am an active
entrepreneur; I have started 2 ISPs in both USA (dedicated to gaming) and Japan
(consumer ISP). Launched two 🚀
and deployed 2 satellites 🛰 into space for a News Corp venture
in Japan, all before the age 27.
I joined numerious
research laboratories at NTT DoCoMo R&D (Trusted Mobile Platform: framework
for the security enclave on all 4G phones), France Telecom (researched/authored
MPEG4),
Took a database company
that was distributing free software and source code, built a business model,
grew the business and exited MySQL for $1B to Sun Microsystems and sold to
Oracle for $7.5B.
Worked on numerious
blockchain projects on a technical nature, OST, BLZ, WAX.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Great experience Daniel, is an honor to
have you here.
Daniel
Saito: Yes, talk about over compensating, if you look at
it now from this perspective..
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Now, please give us a short intro about
the project, in a nutshell, what is Strong Node?
Daniel
Saito: but I was born at the right time at the right
place, to take advantage of this PC revolution.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: We can say it was your destiny
Jonah
🏅🎹 | Satoshi Club: Yes… Starting at a young age and dropping
out of college to focus on what matters to you.. 👍
Daniel
Saito: Yeah I found school boring as I learned most of it
on my own through practical means and applications..
But having asian
parents that expect the world of you and demand that you be successful..
you know how that is
(if you are asian you know).
StrongNode.io is an
Infrastructure-as-a-Service technology company and innovation lab. We harness
the power of latent and idle compute resources like CPU/GPU cycles, network
bandwidth, and storage from digital devices. This compute is then harnessed to
process some of the worlds challenging compute problems such as offering cost
effective compute resources for genome sequencing analysis for COVID and other
compute heavy solutions like machine learning and AI. We are working on
“Computing with a Purpose.”
The premise of this
project is that I want to be the first.
I had the opportunity to be the first mover on alot of things..
Technology caught up and people became specialized in this field..
You have to find your
niche as they say.. mine is in security/encryption, infrastructure and
database.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: 4th industrial revolution tools.
Congratulations very innovative technology, we are excited to know more trough
the community questions we have collected😃
Thank you so much for
the intro, Daniel. We have collected the best community questions for you,
ready to proceed?🥳👏
Daniel
Saito: Bring it on.
Q1 from Telegram User
@splend6ty
As
I also know that Cross-chain utility is important for many different reasons.
In your network, Each blockchain has offered STRONG NODE benefits that YOU
wants to maximize on speed, versatility, and scalability of the network. And
YOU are planning to roll out to Polygon/Matic with different chains coming
onboard as different strategies and use cases dictate. My question is, what
other chain are coming onboard? What other benefit are
you expecting from different block chain when you roll out to polygon/Matic?
Daniel
Saito: Great question, @splend6ty you deserve a cookie 🍪! We are releasing on POLYGON due to the recent
usage and projects that are popping up in the ecosystem (still early, but not
as bad). Yes, speed, versatility,
scalability and most of all gas fees are critical considerations of choosing
the right chain. POLYGON is kinda like
that. We considered BSC, but we found
that the ecosystem is rather tainted with alot of noise and most of all really
bad projects. I would say the versatility
is great because the portability of the contract (with minor adjustments of
course), documentation is pretty straight forward… But this is our launching
pad, we will then move on to other chains like SOLANA. Like new chains come with new challenges,
like Solana uses RUST (luckily, I love RUST).
The implemention of how they handle nodes is great and we can see a
future there more long term as long as they get their shit together (e.g. last
week network reset doesn’t sit well with me)…
But we will eventually
try different chains, but with each adoption of a chain brings new security
vectors that open up. So we will put
into alot of those data points into consideration when scaling out to other
chains..
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Great features that make Strong Node a
great project, congratulations to your team. Btw, how big is your work team?
Daniel
Saito: We have 26 employees here at StrongNode. Majority are developers and creative teams
(UI/UX). Rest is marketing / operations and business development..
We grew really quickly
in these past few months as we came out of stealth.
But like all startups
you are constantly fundraising and constantly hiring great new talent!
so if you got what it
take please DM me. I am looking for the
best of the best in crypto to join our ranks!
Jonah
🏅🎹 | Satoshi Club: Are all this 26
employees in the Same location?
Daniel
Saito : I like hiring from community.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Great opportunity to work with a
fantastic project, Satoshiclubbers👏
Daniel
Saito: I live in Japan, there isn’t much talent here..
What we learned at MySQL. If you want the best, you need to hire whereever the
talent is.
We are a global
company, with staff around the world..
Jonah
🏅🎹 | Satoshi Club: I agree with you..
Daniel
Saito: mulinational company overnight..
it was quick
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Thanks for your answers Daniel. Let’s
proceed with the next question.
Daniel
Saito: let’s do it.
Q2 from Telegram User
@JesusFre1tes
I
read that StrongNode has an Innovation Lab, whose social impact, gaming and
technology node innovators grow their network through various adoption
strategies. My question is, what are those adoption strategies that StrongNode
uses to keep their project growing exponentially? With this innovation lab,
what benefits will your users see reflected in the long term and how will it
help StrongNode consolidate position in the crypto space?
Daniel
Saito: My job as CEO is to grow my digital footprint of my
decentrialized distributed network. To
be able to get token distribution to as many wallets as possible which will in
the long term help the value of the $SNE token.
These social impact plays are a form of “forced adoption”. When working with various blockchain projects
back in 2017, they all had an adoption issue.
It frustrated us that no one wanted to be the first idiot to eat the
“yellow snow”. We reached out
to our closest entrepreneur buddies, and aquired and incubated the project over
the years. These are all technology
plays, so they need infrastructure to work on.
Well this is our apporach to forced adoption. Each roll out of a technology play helps our
digital footprint grow.
We didn’t want to launch
project for the sake of launching a project, we wanted to be the first to
address new niche sectors that would greatly benefit from the StrongNode
network; but moreover that the project has a social impact – an impact that can
change our everyday digital lifestyle. I
don’t want to reinvent the next facebook, to me that is boring – (we already
worked with them early when they were still a college network for kids). Each project has a focus, OGLife is a network
where gamers alike can relive the home lan party experience (hosting gaming
servers at the edge) and as gaming builds a self serving community. Another successful project worth mentioning
is Cryowar (https://cryowar.com/), we saw the potential early in its infancy
and helped finance it to where it is now (their IDO is in October). For Cryowar we are helping them develop the
crypto hooks into their gameplay. Also
all the folks playing Cryowar can earn $SNE tokens as we will tap into the
Gamer’s PC and most Gamer’s PC have that juicy GPU, which will open the doors
to GPU harvesting..
The StrongNode token
has so many use cases within the StrongNode ecosystem which includes our
innovation lab projects focused on gaming, social impact, entertainment,
lifestyle platforms building on the StrongNode Edge technology. You get paid
for your idle resources. And others get to run workloads, processed in chunks,
on your idle resources. In return, you get paid in StrongNode tokens [$SNE]
when you lend your network and compute resources. There are more mechanics yet
to be announced that will enhance the appeal of token adoption.
Q3 from Telegram User
@nhairym
Tell
us a little about your strategies to solve the problem of scalability, what is
the importance of Edge for Strong Node, what is the main use case of StrongNode
technology, have you planned to implement strategies to attract and incorporate
people who until now have not participated in cryptographic activities?
Daniel
Saito: I love these questions! It’s honestly refreshing.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Our community showed a lot of interest
on Strong Node
Daniel
Saito: StrongNode is about creating a virtual computer
that helps process super massive amounts of BIG DATA. That is phase ONE.
PHASE ONE: When we first sought out to do something the
help benefit mankind, it was no simple undertaking. But we did see alot of trends when we were
out in the field working with large infrastruture companies to WEB 2.0
companies. The common trend is most of
their implementation required alot of computational / bandwidth and storage
resources, like ALOT. With that we were
seeing large cloud provider start taking control of the Internet, whether it be
the AWS, Azure or GCP. These players
have alot of sway in the network infrastructure of things. They also control the price of accessing
these resources, did you notice them increasing their pricing or volume metrics
during COVID?
Because more than ever,
Compute was required, as people now were forced to work from home.
Another anomaly we saw
was the increase in computing resources being spent at the genome level, more
than ever. So we started there. The problem with these genome labs is that
they were all of a sudden tasked with sequencing alot of genetic materal, to
take all those PCR test results throw them in a sequencer and run a batch
process to find trace elements of COVID.
These labs were all of a sudden a large candidate for computing
resources, but with the increasing prices of compute – to make it a business
for them was really hard as the compute cycle were eating into their
margins. This is where we came in and
redesigned their workflows and set them up to take compute resources from our
network. So we onboarded them with
selling our $SNE tokens so they can play a part in our network as a ENTERPRISE
SEED NODE (Broadcaster). They will stake
the $SNE token along with the large datasets to be processed. You as the user will run a node and take the
broadcast as a Receiver and will process a data chunk. This data chunk will be processed, validated
and sent back. In return the ENTERPRISE SEED NODE will pay the Receiver in
exchange for use of their resources.
Jonah
🏅🎹 | Satoshi Club: thank you for your
answer lets proceed to the next question
Q4 from Telegram user
@victorogb
With
StrongNode emerging as the future of node Infrastructure-as-a-service, you
offer your services under three core structures of; Node Enterprise, Node
Innovators and Node Seeders. As these features are broad overviews of a larger
project function, can carefully elaborate on this services as provided, how are
your services essential to a wider industrial and economic application in both
the centralised and decentralised space, how does StrongNode empower it’s
unique breed of Node partners, while keeping technology and compute resources
cheap & useful?
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: We should recognized the important
usecases of your project 👏 thanks for think on the situation of the
mankind
Daniel
Saito: PHASE TWO: Once we get to an infliction point of
computers on the network we will leverage the END USERS network end point. This is the most coveted IP address scheme
that all marketers and services want.
This is your home network traffic.
We anticipate the launch of NETWORK based services whether it be VPN or
Proxy or even launching Gaming servers at the edge. This is a huge market overall.. and the
potenetial is endless.

Strong
Node platform have built a Shop within their ecosystem to provide lot of pretty
commodities for a favourable price such as I Node You Mugs, Nodies Lap sleeves,
NodeLord Unisex Hoodie etc…Why did you decide to build a merchandise store
within your ecosystem though Strong Node platform mainly focused on field of
Edge technology? Who are the suppliers of these products? Do you & your
team make these products or did the third party sellers already involved in
Strong Node Shop to sell their products by using Strong Node term as the
mediate? Can users buy the products using $SNE tokens, Which currencies is this
merchandise shop compatible with? Will there be a discount if I buy a product
from your Shop?
Daniel Saito: Ah you found our online swag store! https://shop.strongnode.io/ (shameless plug)
Yeah all our designs
come from community contributions. All
proceeds from the store (of course after covering our costs of manfuactring
them), goes to token buy back in the future. The actual shop was actually made
by the team over at Origin (https://www.originprotocol.com/en/) Protocol
(https://www.originprotocol.com/en/), the guy that developed PayPal (paypal’s
first engineering hire) made the shopping cart (to compete agains
shopify). I was their first investor
into the project, and I wanted to give a nod out to them, they have a great
team and season veterans running their show too. You will be able to buy with $SNE tokens, as
it will work with your User Registration, as well!
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Wow, great designs, I want a t-shirt😁
Daniel
Saito: Please buy!
designed by our community and to benefit the community.. token buybacks.

Among
the four concepts within StrongNode Labs Idea Vault, one had we thinking. I’ve
learned that StrongNode is currently working and planning to develop a way to
tokenize gold reserves. Can you give us further more details about this
initiative? What is the reason and application of tokenizing gold reserves?
Also, are we talking about a large-scale country gold reserve tokenization or
will it be only for small participants who has actual gold on their
possessions?
Daniel
Saito: Hey someone has been lurking in our chat room and
paying attention. Yes, we do have a play
on Gold. Yes, Gold. It’s sounds weird so, let me explain.
Back when apartheid
fell in South Africa 🇿🇦.
A lot of the operating gold mines were abandoned, as the rich owners
could not operate them anymore, as they fled from the country. Our largest investor and my business partner
acquired a lot of these abandoned gold mines with actual gold in the ground. But the hidden truth about gold mining is
that it cost ALOT of money to dig it out.
We want to come up with a model where people can buy literal gold
“futures” against what would be dug out of the ground.
We are still in the
early stages of this project, like really early, as we are actively looking for
able and experienced management to come help on this endeavor. We are still ideating how technology can
disrupt this sector.
I don’t know how this
alpha got out, but it’s still in the early project phases. If you are into gold and have experience
reach out and let’s talk.
It is an AMA after all.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: I feel you have a lot of good stories
to tell 😁
Daniel
Saito: Oh boy, do we..
I wouldn’t be surprised
if Netflix comes knocking to do a show piece or a movie.
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Haha it will be definitely a movie that
we would watch
Daniel
Saito: I like love the show “Halt and Catch Fire”
It reminds me of the
good old days
Andrés
M. | Satoshi Club: Too bad we have little time. Thank you
Daniel for your interesting and clear answers. Now is time to interact directly
with the community into the live segment of the AMA, is time to open the chat.
Ready for it?🥳

Q1 from telegram username @KASG95
I want my attention that you signal that
“Although there are other companies that have technology and node-as-a-service
business models, no one does it like StrongNode”, so could you detail us
what StrongNode really does that its competitors do not?
Daniel Saito:
Let me explain how we are different.
Technology is easy to
implement. But technology adoption on
the other hand is difficult and hard. We
wanted to try a different tact for user adoption, this is our “Social
impact play”. All of StrongNode,
has a Social Impact Play. For
StrongNode, first we want to address COVID data, by reducing the cost to
process this. This can apply for any large datasets, whether if its’s from NASA
or from finance. We believe if our
solution has a socially responsible play, we feel that user adoption will be
more open as long as the technological solution is not to difficult or
convoluted. We want to support the idea
of GREEN MINING. Innovation (https://www.explainthatstuff.com/timeline.html
) is happening quicker compared to the 1800s, our era focus is on
sustainability. You hear it as marketing
buzzword but we are actually putting it into use. In the example of how traditional crypto
mining works whether if your are a node validator or miner. It uses ridiculous amounts of energy and
polutes.
* Bitcoin’s annual e-waste generation adds up
to 30.7 metric kilotons as of May 2021.
* This level is comparable to the small IT
equipment waste produced by a country such as the Netherlands.
* On average Bitcoin generates 272 g of
e-waste per transaction processed on the blockchain.
* Bitcoin could produce up to 64.4 metric
kilotons of e-waste at peak Bitcoin price levels seen in early 2021.
* The soaring demand for mining hardware may
disrupt global semiconductor supply chains.
With these facts at
hand we can try a new approach, as everyone’s daily life has changed post
COVID. We spend time at home more and we
work from home more. This also brings
in the demand for digital devices. With
these digital devices, much of it goes latent and or on standby. This is no bueno for me, I would like to use
those latent resources and try to do good with them and help society as a whole
and most of all the contirbutors of the network gets paid. This crypto UBI..
Q2 from telegram username @AugusS7
Could you tell us a bit about the innovations that
StrongNode’s innovation developer will seek to create? Will it only be focused
on developing projects on a specific theme? or could they innovate any type of
dApps?
Daniel Saito:
Alot of our innovations will be around Open Source
(https://youtu.be/SpeDK1TPbew), we feel that we are TENETs of Open Source. With our largely successful exits from
Redhat, MySQL and MariaDB. We have help
build out Open Source to be accepted mainstream. There is 99% chance that you have touched one
of my solutions that I help developed.
What we want to do, is we want to help build the building block to
crypto, similar to how we made the building blocks to Open Source. In doing so, we will use best of breed Open
Source projects to build out StrongNode, whether if its the use of OpenID,
Hadoop, OpenVPN there are alot of great projects that can be adapted to the token
economy. We are trying to fix the open
source dev. not getting paid for his/her work.
Q3 from telegram username @Sarika_4088
✨📌📌
How does Strongnode help the business in
(i) in case a third party try to hack it?
(ii)Any antivirus programme to protect the data and
provide smooth functioning?
Great team ✨
Best wishes sir😊
Daniel Saito:
I have past experience working on designing what you guys/gals take for granted
on their smartphone. The “security
enclave” (TPM) that sits inside each mobile phone or desktop pc. We have designed StrongNode to function
within its sandbox and its designated operating environment. We have looked at all the attack vectors and
posed them with mitigation techniques.
But of course we can’t think of everything. So like all our past Open Source projects, we
are releasing the code. Open Sourcing
our solution no only allows for community contribution but allows for better
scrutiny of each line of code in public.
With that we will also
work with the likes of HackerOne, the CEO is former CEO of MySQL. So that helps. But they actually do bounties and bug
management and of course security assessments through the aspect of white hat
hacking.
Q4 from telegram username @Sopone
Sir,
A lot of scam projects lately. Pulling the rug
creates a loss for investors. why should we trust your project? Aren’t you
going to do the same?
Daniel Saito:
Do your own research. All investments has their risk. Invest responsibly is my only answer to
this. I don’t need to explain to you why
I won’t rug you. I am here now, fully
doxxed and incorporated as a company. To
me this is a culmination of my work and history. My reputation is at stake along with all other
26 people working on this project. Alot
of time and effort goes into a IDO, my motivation isn’t money. It’s about building something that matters to
everyone as it helps mankind (from a big picture view of things).
Q5 from telegram username @King_Raja
Do we have to do the KYC for your upcoming IDO that
is on Starter xyz platform?
Daniel Saito:
Yes, we will have KYC for all folks participating into StrongNode. We do abide by FINRA regulatory considerations,
so we will not be able to sell to Americans on our IDO. But post IDO anyone can by as all
transactions are naturally decentralized.
But to use StrongNode, you need to register, that means KYC. Post IDO, you may want to be a node, you need
to register. I will not give access to
anonymous connections/users. That is a
cookbook for disaster. Similar to the
analogy you would keep your mobile phone or PC unlocked without your username
and password. This is similar, you need
to login.
In order to help this
process, we reinvented OpenID this is our SSO (Single Sign On) approach to
validate you as a user to enter the network.
Upon completing the KYC component at User Registration, not only do we
airdrop you $SNE tokens, but you also get this nifty NFT dropped into your
wallet. This NFT is specific to your
wallet address and your identity, which cannot be moved out of your
wallet. This NFT acts as an access token
(a key) to login to various crypto properties that we are working on in our innovation
labs.
Q6 from telegram username @Gen_Block
In order to gain and raise community supports on
Strong Node projects, what kind of programs do you establish that involving
community? How does community response on the program so far? Thanks
Daniel Saito:
Community is a big part in our game plan.
As we learned from MySQL.
Community is were we lean on for product. We are firm believers that community drives
product, and we strive to have an array of communities in the lifestyle
business. Whether it be gaming, music,
or other forms of entertainment, we plan to have StrongNode integrated into the
solution, so the user can passively make a profit with out the technical heavy
lifting…
Daniel Saito:
half way there. phew..
Q7 from telegram username @Fazilfazilllll
✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️
I want to have a LONG TERM INVESTMENT with this
PROJECT, but I’m in doubts right now, how can you convince and assure me this
project is SAFE and PROFITABLE?
Daniel Saito:
This one would possibly qualify as a long term HODL. I know I am, I am locked up for 4 years
before I can get a cent from this project.
But I am not motivated by money.
I have that already.
What makes this
interesting is that in our token we have reflect code that taxes all
transactions. All these transactions
build up a tax reserve. This reserve of
funds are seperated to the devs/ops, token buyback and a creation of a SAFU
fund. To make sure your funds are safe
in event of a catastrophic economic attack on our AMM farms.
Q8 from telegram username @lisanazh24
OGLife is the first project to build on StrongNode,
and they have a unique focus on improving the lives of older people with video
games. How the unique focus can improve the lives of older people? Could you
share more detail about this? I am very curious with OG Life.
@StrongNode_CEO
Daniel Saito:
OGLife is community of gamers. Whether
they are 40+ and over military veterans.
They all can have a place to play games without the acidic public
communites. Alot of people just want to
play a simple game with their friends, without the threat of being SWATTED (who
does that?). We are the OG gamers, we
played pong when it was cool and still play Call of Duty. But we don’t want to deal with the melodrama
of playing with misguided youth, or BRUH culture.
Technologically, our
approach is to increase our digital footprint for StrongNode, as we will
leverage the strength of what StrongNode has to offer, but a the same time adding
value where it matters for gamer – hosting game servers at the EDGE.
When I dabbled in this
first when I started SEGA.NET. This was
my second ISP I started, and I did it out of San Francisco. I designed and deployed the FIRST gaming
network from scratch that was dedicated to online gaming for consoles (SEGA
DREAMCAST). The inagural game that we
launch on the network was Chu Chu Rocket
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP1FxPtUMeM), which was a PvP between two-six
SEGA Dreamcasts (as they were fitted in with a modem or a ethernet
connection). We want to revisit this
thesis again with OGLife and see if we can apply tokenomics and the ability to
play games at the EDGE, since all the players are at the EDGE, this makes
sense.
Q9 from telegram username @nahid16288
What are plans in for global expansion? Are you
focusing on market at this time or focus on building and developing or getting
customers and users, or partnerships?
Daniel Saito:
We are actually focusing our marketing to developing countries first where
there is an obvious of a digital divide and economic scale. We want to be able to have people in
developing countries to get access to a network so they can still benefit from
the use other people computers, also allow for the opportunity of passive
income. I want to approach this as my
solution or proposal to tackle UBI (Universal Base Income) at a global scale
via crypto. We will eventually ramp up
to developed countries and tap into those network. Yes our approach is slow but much needed if
the goal is to get $SNE into the hands of many.

Daniel Saito:
Well we have partnered with the folks on $QUICK, and a few other projects which
we will leave for our post IDO announcements. As I have answered before, we
have our launch partners with starter.xyz (https://starter.xyz/
) and BullPerks (https://bullperks.com/ ) to help launch
StrongNode in the whole crypto ecosystem.
Our recent partnership with $QUICK (https://quickswap.exchange/
) since we will be in the Polygon ecosystem.
Daniel Saito:..
afterwards it will be available to be purchased by anyone online through
DEX, as for CEX we are talking to
several of TIER 1 and TIER 2 CEX providers.
WOW. That was a mental exercise folks.. wonderful
questions. I want to answer more. But
unfortunately I think we are out of time..
Part 3 – Quiz Results
As usual, for the third
part, Satoshi Club Team asked the chat 4 questions about the crypto project. A
