Jeralyn T.: I personally am managing the operations in Vera itself, not something I would call an extremely exciting role, but it’s truly an eye opening experience getting exposed into crypto. Not an easy journey to say the least, but our founder, Denis has been very patient and nurturing in guiding me in all aspects.

Jeralyn T.:  Vera aims to offer decentralized financing, leasing, lending, and other essential financial services for any NFT marketplace, game, or application.

Jeralyn T.: Our project was Founded in 2021. Currently we have our CEO Denis and our CTO spearheading the project.

What plans do you have to reach this goal of yours? How will Vera Network be able as a NFT platform to do that change on the global economy? Also, on what ways do you plan to reinvent the global economy? What problems do you see on it that you feel the need of doing so?

Jeralyn T.: Vera envisions a world where strangers can safely, quickly, and effortlessly perform financial transactions with the property or assets they create and/or own without high transaction costs and dependency on intermediaries.

Vera’s mission is simple: To build open, secure, and powerful NFT financial products that are equally available to everyone everywhere.

To put simply, Vera is here to provide Finance, Rent, Lend, and Verification for NFTs.

Recently, there is scam Vera token going viral in the market where thousands of vera token is given out to the community. And you stated it on twitter that you just finalized your official website and have not generated token to anyone. By the time your token will be released, alot of fake tokens will still be released, how can you protect the community from fake Vera tokens? How can we identify the real token of yours? Concerning the NFT you sold for $130,000,000, is there any plan to supply more NFT to be bought?

Jeralyn T.: Fake tokens are commonplace in the space, unfortunately. As of now, the token has not been released and any token that claims to be from Vera is a scam. Please be aware!

By the time the token is released, the contract address will be provided to the community, so please watch out for our social media and official channels.

Jeralyn T.:  About the token sale, YES. We are anticipating an IDO in the near future. You will have to keep close watch on the Vera community to get the first dibs!

I saw in one of your blogs that one of Vera Labs investors is Animoca Brands, a global leader in branded mobile blockchain gaming who recently raised $88 million at a $1 billion valuation to capitalize on game NFTs. Vera is venturing with Animoca Brands to provide DeFi engines that allows in-game items for lending and leasing between players. May I know, what blockchain games will Vera implement its product and protocols with and would Vera consider integrating directly within the game itself so players won’t have to use third-party apps while playing?

Jeralyn T.: There are many things still under wraps. But what we CAN say is that the future users can expect direct integration with our partners. Players can interact with Vera portal to process their mortgages, in later phases it will be completely integrated and users will not know that there is Vera in the backend.

At the moment there are developments still being worked on and negotiated, so we won’t be able to disclose anything specific just yet. However, we of course appreciate the amount of attention we have gained and the support from the community, old and new. Please stay tuned to our channels for the latest news.

I did read that Vera offers a wonderful opportunity when users decide to take a break from the game. Vera will allow us to rent out our game account or specific in-game items to another player so we can generate income from all the hard work we have put into the game while we take a break from playing. Can we decide for how long we rent our account? What happens if the person to whom we rent our account does not respect the agreed time? How do we protect the security of our account while it is rented? Will that user have access to our private information?

Jeralyn T.: Vera is simply a tool. It is up to the seller or owner to decide their desired rental terms.

When do you plan this feature to go live?

Jeralyn T.: We are actively building and integrating our financing and rent products into customers/partners now. Will be live before end of year in their games or apps.

You have instructed users to make sure that their assets are authentic. Do you have a mechanism to check the authenticity? Currently, there are NFT assets related to Music, Gaming and Movies. How do you react if you find any copywrite issue related to this kind of asset? Further, for making the assets affordable to everyone, have you implemented a maximum price for an asset? Currently, NFT has become a trend. Did you design your project just to follow that trend or do you have specific reasons to choose this field?

Jeralyn T.: The authenticity issue is a problem with many assets before NFTs existed. While its not our core focus to attack this issue, we do have some solutions that can help. We have a product called Verify that makes it much more user friendly for buyers to know the NFT is authentic and certified by the seller or a specific brand or organization.

Mary | Satoshi Club: So, we will be able to verify all types of content? I mean Music, Gaming and Movies?

Jeralyn T.: Using Vera, the assurance of authenticity is there with immutable records of the artwork’s identity, certification, verification method, and other related information on the blockchain. This information is publicly accessible to anyone using a blockchain explorer.

Vera’s on-chain registries will support existing universal unique identification methodologies and wireless communication protocols such as AI computer vision object scans, NFC smart tags, and RFID sensors.

We are a DECENTRALIZED protocol. So no KYC.

I like to learn a bit about coding and your platform offers an empowerment for developers, I went to your road map looking for a date related to an important event for dApps developers and I observed that you had a goal planned called “Code Sandboxing” What do you mean by “code sandboxing” and why fulfillment of this objective is vital for the development of Vera Network? What facilities does this update offer for the growth of dApps developers in Vera Network?

Jeralyn T.: Code Sandboxing gives devs the ability to simulate production code without going to production. This helps with product acceptance testing for clients that use our products.

Vera is focused to make developers happy when it comes to enabling DeFI for NFTs… so we will build tools to make integration easier over time.

 Jeralyn T.: We are not another NFT project.  We provide financial services for any NFT project and as of now I do not know of any competitors.  So regardless which NFT game or marketplace wins or loses we have market demand. Our customer traction right now is super high and thats why we are actively hiring talent so we can meet the demand.

Jeralyn T.: We are currently working on supporting Ethereum NFTs and soon Solana, Polygon, BSC as well. Vera ultimately can support NFTs from any credible blockchain.

Jeralyn T.: We currently dont work with any insurance project but open to explore if you know any. We are a DeFI service layer for NFT assets so in theory we can work with any project or app that uses NFTs.

Jeralyn T.: Our lead strategic backer is Animoca Brands. They are the largest NFT gaming company in the world that invested in many of the big names you heard of like Axie Infinity, Open Sea, CryptoKitties and so much more. Our backers do not only commit resources but help with partnerships to existing apps games or metaverses so Vera can have mass adoption quickly.

Another up and coming game we will partner with is Highstreet. I cannot say more for now but they’re an exciting VR metaverse with real world customers like luxury and fashion brands that want to get into NFTs.

❎ By this point in 2021 no one is surprised at all the things that can be tokenized in the form of an NFT, however I would like to know what types of assets/products/artwork Vera is thinking for. Do they have the tools to tokenize literally anything? No scalability issues in that matter?

Jeralyn T.: It is NOT up to Vera to decide what assets should be tokenized as NFTs. We are just a financial or banking platform for NFTs regardless what asset class they represent. Its up to our customers/partners to figure that out.

Vera is building steering wheels and brakes… our partners are the ones using us to build their dream car!

Jeralyn T.: 1. First mover advantages:  No project we know of is currently offering our financial products and services. We talked to several games and nft apps and none know of a solution provider they are forced to consider building these services on their own. If you were a game its not smart or strategic to build your own bank or financial platform.

2. Seller or custodian protection: NFTs like crypto, once sent to someone you may never get it back. Good luck with disputes. Our products have seller protection built into our smart contracts so if a customer does not pay rent or make monthly payments by an agreed upon deadline they will lose the NFT and itll go back to the right owner. This feature does not exist right now in NFT world.

3. Product Market Fit – App or games selling NFTs already making revenue all tell us its a no brainer to use Vera to increase their revenues and give their user community more amazing experiences with stuff their own and love.

If really the largest number of NFT art producers are the ETH and BSC chains, then why develop your project aimed at improving NFT markets in a chain other than these like Polkadot?

 Jeralyn T.: The future of NFTs will be on multiple chains. Substrate and Polkadot has tools to help us make bridges to work with NFTs on any chain so we actually can work with NFTs on those chains you mentioned about. Most of our clients are on Ethereum NFTs which is the biggest NFT market and we are integrating with them.

The Listen Tokens are being sold to fund The Listen Campaign. I’m the founder and director of the campaign and in the past I have produced nine of the world’s largest global broadcast events and campaigns. Each reached over 500m people. These included one to call for Mandela’s release (Nelson Mandela’s 70th Birthday Tribute) one to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of the two Germanies and one to celebrate Mandela’s release. Many of our team are media, film and music industry veterans and some our experts in social media and now, with the adoption of Listen Tokens and Listen NFTs we have experts from the blockchain and….. Crypto world – for instance Liam Robertson who leads the Alphabit Fund and has successfully launched many businesses based on blockchain tech.

I’m the founder and CEO, Marcelo Salup heads up the media section and he has run many ad agencies, Chris is the CFO and he has run one of the UK’s largest film companies, Preeta is the commercial director in India, Sivan is the Exec Producer in South Africa and the list goes on and on. Its a very big campaign.

Please share some stories, how did you manage to get those stars onboard the Listen project, was it hard or not so much? I don’t think many of them dealt with crypto before, do you involve them into the crypto or do they serve as public figures and share their IP for NFT art pieces without going deep into the crypto ecosystem?

Hi Andrey, We are launching the “Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop” at the beginning of October by starting to auction off NFTs made from my archive of the past nine global broadcast events. This is the list of artists you can see on www.listentoken.com . These auctions will run regularly until we get to the announcement of the artists in The Listen Campaign on March 30th 2022. After that the NFTs will be of the stars and artists participating in The Listen Campaign – over 100/year , plus the creativity contributed by the Listen Community. The stars and artists are not deep into the workings of the crypto system and blockchain but most have heard of NFTs.

According to your website that in a decade the Listen campaign should generate $4 billion of media exposure, activate a community of 35 million participants and provide $1bn of grants to children’s projects. So as what I have see your goal will become possible if you will be backed up by some good partnership especially from media and a great community support, so does your platform already negotiate to some big company or platforms to help you achieve your goals? Do you also negotiate some media platforms to help you generate some media exposure? What is your plan to gain or attract more people to be part of your campaign? As you aim to grants $1bn to children’s projects,what kind of project for children you plan to spend for this $1bn? For 10 years,in what possibility that you can collect or save up to $1bn from Listen campaign? Thank you

That’s lots of questions. Yes we have many media partners and some are the largest in the world. For instance in the US our largest media partner is ABC/Disney. In India it is Zee TV, In sub-saharan Africa it is Viacom, in the MENA DMI etc. They, with streaming partners, an active social media campaign and many other traditional media partners will provide the platform upon which we achieve our exposure of the problems faced by vulnerable and disadvantaged children and the solutions to their problems. The Listen Campaign allows the public to participate in 19 different ways of which only one is a donation. You can be poor in Botswana and help the campaign or rich in NY. In the first year 75 children’s projects will receive grants ,each a project that is proven, scalable and replicable. Each one celebrated by the campaign.

There is a great deal of specialist work over many months that goes into selecting projects that are exemplary, proven, scalable and replicable. So the community can propose but each one has to be looked into deeply and the right mixture and global distribution chosen.

Yes the Tribute NFTs should be wonderful and they are of many famous people. We are not setting a top price as its an auction and we want to raise as much money as possible to fund The Listen Campaign.

You have to buy some Listen Tokens ($LSTN) to be able to participate in the auctions. These tokens provide lots of benefits:

The right to bid for the Star Creative Artist’s NFTs in the monthly auctions which are only open to $LSTN holders; the more tokens you hold, the better access you get.

‘Silver Badge’ status for every 250,000 to 499,999 $LSTN staked for 30 days, entitling the user to a five percent discount on their purchases in the Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop.

‘Gold Badge’ status for every 500,000 + $LSTN staked for 30 days, entitling the user to a ten percent discount on their purchases in the Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop.

The right to vote for the winners of The Listen Creative Arts Awards (see below).

The accrual of Listen Points (Listen Points are the loyalty reward system of the Listen Campaign and provide each holder with exclusive benefits and prize entries, including discounts on tickets, merchandise and Pay Per View streaming):

Yes it’s a big effort and it involves lots of companies and partners all looking after separate parts of the campaign. Others are producing the TV series, the social media campaigns etc. Marketing is a major part of the campaign and we have some of the worlds best specialists looking after this. The media team including digital media is being lead by Marcelo Salup who has headed up many media agencies in his life. Loads of experience.

Yes The Listen Campaign is across all social media and traditional media. It should reach an audience of 500m each year. I’ve done this nine time before when the world’s population was smaller and harder to reach. For instance the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute reached 600m when there were only 5 billion in the world.

The stars and creative artists come into The Listen Campaign and give their rights to be used in lots of ways, TV, Streaming, social, news and NFTs. The rights come in a bundle.

The artists sign up because they can see that the whole campaign helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children. It does it in three big ways. Firstly it shows the world the problems these kids face and solutions to those problems. Secondly, it develops a community to help. Thirdly it raises donations.

We are not limiting anything to 100 people. We will have over 100 major stars and creative artists and will make NFTs from their contributions. And we ask the community to also create videos, art, music, short stories and we expect 10s of thousands of these. The “citizen artists” can also enter their contribution into The Listen Creative Arts Awards and the winners get shown in the global broadcast to 100’s of millions.

I learned from your litepaper that the Listen Campaign digital collectibles NFTs will be minted on the Flow blockchain. I imagine Flow is not the most popular blockchain at the moment, probably not too many crypto enthusiasts ever used it or have a wallet that supports it. Can you share what were the main driving factors behind choosing Flow? I realize ETH is not very energy efficient and scares users with high gas fees, but for example BSC solves those issues and has a very large user base now. What other chains have you considered during the design phase?

Tony Hollingsworth:
We chose Flow because it is faster, more scalable, and far more energy-efficient (“greener”) than Ethereum. Additionally, users who buy, sell, and trade Listen NFTs on Flow will not have to pay high transaction fees like on Ethereum. A third contributing factor is the ability to natively integrate fiat payments, as the Campaign is appealing to a global audience, we did not want to restrict our user experience to only those who own ETH and already have an Ethereum wallet.

What is Listen NFT’s most ambitious goal that sets it apart from your competitors? What are your new developments and updates?

The Listen Campaigns goals are helping vulnerable and disadvantaged children around the world. We do this by creating a global campaign of many different parts – over 62 social media items, a influencer campaign, two TV/Streaming series, two major promotions, a feature documentary , live events, a global streaming event and a global broadcast event. As part of this we have the “Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop” where people can buy NFTs. This income supports the campaign which asks the public to give donations. We expect an average of $100m/yr in donations.
However, raising donations is not the only way the campaign helps children. The Listen Campaign also does the communications job that the children’s charity sector cannot do – getting the world to Listen to the problems faced by 1 billion (before Covid) very vulnerable and disadvantaged children and celebrating the solutions that the charity sector has – wonderful projects in the field.

The “Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop” will allow people to bid and buy in Fiat or Crypto it also introduces them to Wallets in a simple way.

Yes anyone can create for the campaign and their content will be used to grow the campaign. If they enter their art, music, video, story into The Listen Creative Arts Awards they have the opportunity to win prizes, and if they get 1st prize they are shown to 100s of millions. First, the community vote, then the Listen Token holders vote, then the stars choose the finalists. Some completely unknown could win and have their career launched to 100s of millions.

What event caused the Listen NFT to be born for unlucky children? Was it just for a charitable mission?

Tony Hollingsworth:
Having produce nine of the world’s largest global broadcast events and campaigns, each reaching audiences of a 500million or more, I semi-retired to look after my kids. During this time I looked at many causes that might need an annual and global media campaign. The one that had universal appeal was helping vulnerable and disadvantaged children. People are far kinder humanitarians when they look at kids. It was on the top of my list and then one night it all became obvious. I was walking one of my boys around as he was ill and needed the motion to sleep. I was also listening to BBC World Service Radio and heard a young African mother being interviewed about her baby had just died of diarrhea. It would have cost 10 cents for the rehydration sachet but she had no money and no clean water. Her baby had died for lack of 10cents. If mine just coughed strangely we could call a doctor. The unfairness of the situation made me commit to developing an annual & global media campaign to help vulnerable a disadvantaged children.

We all know that producing a TV show is not a one-sit-job, for it requires months or even years of preparations, taping and editing. Does ATTA accepts TB series in its platform that are made locally with start-up crews and fresh artists? Does ATTA only accepts original and copyrighted TV shows and programs or do you also cater TV shows from the past as long as the content creators has the right to share them in a public platform like ATTA?

Cindy: Great question haha!
We do consider TV shows that are made locally with start-up and fresh artists, but currently we prefer more mature TV shows production team since most of our team members have been in the entertainment and art industry for several years, especially in China. This means that we have connections with a lot of outstanding suppliers in this industry.

For TV shows, we would probably start with short video series like the ones on TikTok and we would also cater TV shows from the past, but we are probably going to change the content a little bit so that it will have better gameplay and utilities for our users.

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: In the future, ATTA could become a big streaming platform?

Cindy: We’re not really a platform but a premium content brand. BAZHUAYU is the platform that will distribute the NFT assets. We not only focus on tv shows, movies etc, but also art, celebrity and turning their content into NFT, so technically BAZHUAYU would be a streaming platform haha!

Cindy: Currently, we hadn’t had any partnerships regarding tv shows yet, What we have right now is e-sport, celebrity and music NFTs. But we’ll definitely release tv shows product in the near future.

As we mentioned in previous AMA, Our CEO has deep connections with many celebrities and IPs in China. How do you calculate and distribute these rewards among users? Does the reward depend on the total value of NFTs that each user holds? By the way, prevailing pandemic situation may have a negative impact on this kind of NFT voting pools. How do you manage those issues? Have you identified this kind of challenges you may face? Please explain about your strategies to survive in this situation.

Cindy: Yes, so I think I answered most of the concerns about the voting pool in the previous question. The rewards will be calculated based on the weights of your NFTs, where SR (the rarest NFT) will have the most weight, then R then N.

For the pandemic situation, we had considered this condition. If the organizers of the competition had to, they would move it to virtual tournament, so it won’t really affect our voting pool because there’ll still be ongoing matches that users can vote for.

Cindy: The road map will come with our whitepaper, which will be released soon I believe. Since we have not launched any token, so have not published whitepaper on our website, but will definitely have it ready for everyone before the token launches.

What I can disclose for now is that in the first stage, we did project research, finished seed investment, prepared for beta product, etc.

In the second stage (current), we will focus on Ecosystem development, launch on Binance NFT, deployment on Flow, as well as utility redeem such as the Binance NFT charity series. Additionally, community activities including NFT e-sport, NFT concert, movie premier, etc.

The third stage (probably next year), we will potentially have our TGE announced, depends on our development.

I saw on ATTA website NFTs priced not only in crypto such as BUSD, but also in fiat currency like HKD. Do you plan to expand the supported fiat currencies list? Do you have analytics that can suggest how many users in percentage use fiat support vs the crypto payments and maybe how many users have joined the platform because it allows fiat transactions? And finally, ATTA promises not only virtual art but also physical items. How can users purchase real art items and how do you guarantee the uniqueness of such items in the edition is limited?

Cindy: So currently, we support credit card and cryptocurrency payment, that’s why it has HKD as an option. And our team definitely have professional tech team and analytics in order to secure the website and make progress for our project.

For the physical items, we jointly launched the Niu.X fashion toy with POIZON in March on https://www.bazhuayu.io/. We’re planning on launching more physical collectibles like this in the future. But currently, for physical items, they are mainly redemption rewards, like the Smile Angel Foundation collection where you can collect NFTs and redeem for physical rewards.

The items are limited and unique because they’ll all be jointly launched with premium IPs and will only be produced by ATTA, most importantly, we’ll limit the number of editions released!

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: Are you planning to accept more fiat currencies as payment method?

Cindy: Yes we might, it depends on our development progress haha! Will definitely notify our users if we start accepting more fiat currencies.

Your last visit on June 21st was an interesting one and you were able to explain the details of ATTA NFT to us. However, during the last question from Part 1, you were not fully able to provide a clear explanation to the question which was in relation to how NFTs are stored when they are minted. You guessed it may be IPFS, but you were not certain and then promised to check it up with the technical team.

If I may amplify the question again, are these NFTs stored on your server or do you make use of IPFS to store music, art, videos and other media related NFTs? Is the process of NFT production and storage a one way on-chain process or are these processes shared into both on-chain and off-chain components? And as a premium NFT brand that place priority on Intellectual Property, how do you authenticate these NFTs to guarantee their legitimacy during the process of minting and before storage?

Cindy: Yeah haha, thanks for the reminder. For the NFT, confirmed with the tech team it’s IPFS and on-chain.

For authentication, currently we only partners with professional organizations, institutions etc. And as I mentioned previously, we’re very selective in terms of partnerships, like Smile Angel Foundation and the LOL Streamers, we directly communicate with their MCN and union. They also posted official announcement on their side.

Cindy: Sure!

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: This is something new in this industry.

Cindy: Yes haha, so the Proprietary Chip Authentication, which is for NFT products that are associated with a physical entity. In that case, we’ll associate a chip with the NFT on-chain, authenticating the unique identity of the physical item. The NFT associated with the chip can be read with the BAZHUAYU App, which corresponds to the individual authentication information of the product.

Cindy: Yes, I think I have disclosed most of it in the AMA. But here’re some important highlights:
You can vote with NFTs from ATTA X LOL Streamer NFT Collection.

After each match, users who voted for the winner can share all the rewards from the dedicated reward pool (shares are calculated by the weights of different rarities). Up to $350,000 (around 70%-50% of the revenue) from the first sale will go into the tournament reward pool, all of which will be given back to NFT holders as rewards.

ATTA will continue to release “ATTA x LOL Streamer NFT Mystery Box Collection” by batches and with different series. More reward pools will be opened for tournaments including the “League of Legends World Championship,”, while part of the sales will continue to be rewarded to NFT holders.

I have seen multiple NFT projects which generally focus on simple digitalization of a picture, video clip or any creation. How ATTA is different from these projects?

Cindy: We are supporters of utility NFT, as we think NFT has evolved and pure social NFT projects like APE or Crypto Punk are hard to develop anymore. You need to focus more on the utilities of NFT from now on.

A key to utility NFT is the scale of the rewards provided. We believe you not only need to link the real world, but also converge the physical and the digital, to make it a two-way interaction. For example, NBA Topshot, a great project, but more focused on one-way connection, from the real world to the digital. That’s why their trading volume depreciated significantly.

ATTA is trying to create a NFT brand that links the real world, a convergence of the physical and the digital, a two-direction door to the metaverse. This is our key differentiator – not just digitalize assets from the real world, but also bring digital to the real world.

Welcome to another episode of our AMA series. Today we are glad to tell you about the AMA session with our friends from HighStreet, the bridge between virtual worlds, real life and web. The AMA took place on August 16 and our guests was Travis Builds.

Travis Builds: Hey guys.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: Let’s start! Introduce yourself please. How did you get to be involved in crypto & HighStreet?

Travis Builds: So the story of HighStreet is a little more interesting, my background is in Computer Science and I met my co-founder in Draper University @San Mateo in 2015 where we founded a traditional equity based VR company called LumiereVR. At Lumiere, we use our computer vision technology to help brands and retail companies turn underutilized real estate into mixed reality experiences. Since our inception we’ve built and picked up a few entities along the way. We have an award winning studio arm backed by Sundance Festival that consistently pushes the boundary of Art and Tech, in fact, last year, my co-founder produced a piece that won an Emmy. In 2018 we also acquired a data analytics company called Retinad Realite Virtulle based in Montreal. Incorporating their gaze tracking software into our metaverse allow brands to receive consumer behavior data in real time. How long a product had been interacted with, how many times a logo’s been seen, every piece of information is natively picked up and processed for brands to help improve their customer experience.

At the same time as the company’s founding back in 2015, I’ve started to invest into Crypto. From BTC and ETH to being one of the earlier buy-ins to the NEO and QTUM ecosystem during the ICO boom. I’ve seen the rise and fall of cycles, re-invested back in during DEFI summer where I got to meet and co-invest with a bunch of great people on our cap table today. As the pandemic aided in the growth of our digital retail business and the NFT craze further edged a lot of our customers into the blockchain space, we rebranded the company as HighStreet and replaced our whole back-end infrastructure with smart contracts.

HighStreet is essentially shopify on an MMORPG game, it allows various brands from HIGH fashion to STREET wear to easily launch their own virtual shops in our metaverse. The game itself is inspired by some of our childhood classics, from Maplestory, Avatar the last airbender, Treasure Planet, and One Piece. From a user’s perspective it should feel just like any other MMORPG game, with monsters to fight, quests to complete, with the only exception that the shops within the world are very much real products from real brands and that it’s built with native VR support.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: Tell us about the benefits of HighStreet. How is it different from others?

Travis Builds: So we’ve built the project from the ground up obviously with a lot of nostalgia in mind but here are some points that we usually highlight as our differentiators. 

  1. We are building an MMORPG built from the ground up to support VR natively
  2. We are integrating real brands and real products into this world
  3. We don’t sell land, but sell real estate in forms of Condos, Villas, even castles
  4. Every Product in the game is phygital meaning either you can redeem it for a physical product, or they’re fractional NFTs that allow you to pick either to buy just the digital component or the entire phygital pair
  5. Our limited edition product market uses a bonding curve that automates price discovery for new brands as well as guarantees liquidity for buyers.

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: Which MMORPG inspired you to create High street?

Travis Builds: So I’ve played a lot of Maplestory Growing up, and the idea of the free market there itself was my first intro to commerce I would say. A lot of our colleagues on the team is the same way with a lot of WOW players and early runescape players as well. I’d say all of us are very big fans of open world explorations as well from BOTW to Skyrim, Witcher 3 to Assassin’s Creed. On the Sci-Fi side our big inspiration definitely also come from Ready Player One (the book!) and Sword art online.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: Also we would like to know more about your team. Who is on the project team core?

Travis Builds: So the team’s been working together for over 6 years now since our founding in 2015. Jenny, my co-founder and I met during our time at Draper University, her art background at Sotheby’s and my Tech background made a perfect match in starting a new type of VR company catering to brands. We’re later joined by various other characters as well, from corporates like Mckinsey, to blockchain projects like NEM, from alt asset collectors of the traditional kinds to NFT collectors. The team is approaching40 now rapidly, and over the years it’s become quite diverse. The core values haven’t changed though, all of us are gamers!

Hi HighStreet Market!

I am intrigued by the concept of hybrid products that you advertise on the website. Not all will agree that we live our life half online and half in real life. Your market will offer products that are crafted to exist both in physical and virtual form and always come straight from the brands. Do you estimate this approach will work equally well for both crypto holders as well as people who never owned a token? Will such products potentially be able to introduce new users to the crypto space via granting them virtual copies of the physical goods? And lastly, what are the main benefits you consider this hybrid products system brings?

Travis Builds: Hybrid products, or what we tend to refer to as Phygital Products are where we can begin to merge the digital and the physical world together. We primarily have two types of Phygital Products that will be sold on HighStreet.

On our limited edition product market place:

This is based on Ethereum, and when someone makes a purchase they receive an ERC 20 token representing the Product itself. When redeemed this product token is burned and the physical redemption process begins where the Brand will receive an order from their back-end ecommerce system. This market place is geared towards newer brands, perhaps started by influencers. The bonding curve is automating price discovery for them, while guaranteeing liquidity for the buyer. Since all Deposits are stored in a smart contract (besides fees), it makes it easier for newer crypto users to buy with confidence.

Regular products purchased in game:

These are regular items that brands sell regularly, they are tokenized as NFTs and will be on the Solana system. When users purchase these products they are sold in fractions. The first fraction is usually relatively cheap and contains the digital item only that can serve other in-game functions. If a user wants to acquire the physical component, they purchase the other fraction and the redemption process will begin where brands will receive an order from their EC system. The first fraction is essentially pure profit for brands.

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: Could you share us the most important physical products in the platform? Maybe some pics of it or links to check it.

Travis Builds: So the limited edition product market place will launch a couple days after our public sale (planning for Sept). We will make announcements soon!

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: Can we redeem weapons, clothes, things like that?

Travis Builds: yes, to all, some products that are real, for example a lipstick from a brand may very well be a sword in the game. By adding special in-game features to real products we can create a better connection between brands and users.

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: Awesome, which tools are needed to join the world? Oculus rift? HTC vive?

Travis Builds: at the beginning we are supporting PCVR (Quest (2) with Link, Rift, Vive, Index) etc., of course you can opt to play with Keyboard and Mouse as well, but we are hoping to slowly convert everyone into one of us ha! Early next year we’re working a release for companion apps on mobile and browser where you can take a part of the met averse to go. Maybe you’re in-game real estate, you can buy products for and decorate it on your way to work.

According to your website that as we already live our life half online and half in real life. The products on your market are crafted to exist both in physical and virtual form and always come straight from the brands. So as the products on your market are crafted to exist both in physical and virtual form, what would be the difference between the physical and virtual form products especially in terms of quality? Why do you need to sell some virtual form products if the physical form product is available? What will be the use of Virtual form products? How it can be utilized? Does HighStreet has any marketplace where we can access both the physical and virtual product of your platform? As you say that those products are straight from the brands, so can you tell us what kind of products are available in your marketplace for both physical and virtual form? Thank you

Travis Builds: When you get the digital component of the product, your avatar gets to wear/use it in the metaverse. Some products have special features (E.g. Umbrellas that let you fly or glide, pants that let you walk faster), when you redeem for the physical product. The actual umbrella or pair of pants will be shipped to you! Quality wise will be similar to all the footages I’m showing today. I would say selling real products as in game items create the value of the digital products. If the Product themselves is just a 3D representation of the physical product, then there would not be a point to it. Hence why we do have an entire game behind HighStreet!

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: What payment methods do you accept?

Travis Builds: At the beginning we support ETH/DAI/$HIGH, eventually, it will migrate to purely $HIGH. We do have on-ramp integration so credit card for items < $500 will also be supported.

Furthermore, for the brands, when certain physical products are tied into a game, you augment the utility this product can provide. A shirt is a shirt in real life, but in game a shirt can be a piece of armor. By Selling phygital products as fractional nfts where the first fraction is digital, you open up a new stream of revenue for the brands that hasn’t been explored prior.

Andrés M. | Satoshi Club: I think that is great for collectors to have a unique edition of their favorite item.

Travis Builds: I would say there are different ways to look at it, the digital collection era definitely helped ushered in a lot of people who collect digital arts and nfts. I think for limited edition products especially this could be super valuable. However, I do know a lot of people still, especially those who are a bit foreign to the crypto culture, tend to still prefer physical products. Hence why we make all our items redeemable.

HighStreet hopes that it’s launch which runs till Wednesday 18th August 2021, will open its futuristic marketplace to users satisfying their gaming, shopping and commercial desires. As a matter of investor and shopper preferences, can you carefully provide us details of your current BullPerks event, why did HighStreet choose BullPerks as its preferred launch platform, and what are the added incentives from members of both communities, and what sort of partnerships would HighStreet consider as project develops?

Travis Builds: BullPerk to me is a really innovative project lead by very experienced people. They are a decentralized VC that distributes the allocation provided to them to their community. The tokens purchased there are locked up the same way our institutional investors are. This provides confidence to me as a founder because with more investors sharing the allocation, its less likely they will all dump at the same time. So to clarify this is not a public sale like those on Polkastarter and Miso. we are working on partnerships beyond brands for sure!

HighStreet consists of many islands each owned and run by brand or partners.

Here’s a quick mockup for example of an island we’re building with FlamingoDAO. each island will have residential areas; each island will allow for brands to launch stores onto. Residences of each island will also have special privileges granted by the Island owners, so lots of opportunities to play to earn.

Travis Builds: it will constantly expand as well! We are working with a few game companies as well to build in portals from islands that will connect to other game worlds. But that is a very difficult technical challenge. So aiming maybe for the first bridge to open end of year next year.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: I never cease to be amazed at how deep your project is.

Travis Builds: Ha-ha It’s been a dream of the team, and a work in progress bit by bit over the past 6 years. Every brand we work with; we essentially build a little piece of the metaverse along with it.

The way users move about from island to island uses solar/steam ships. From individual sized ones like this one to full own battleships. They all fly!

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: Are you personally the owner of a portion of the metaverse?

Travis Builds: Umm I think this is a bit of a tricky question, our metaverse differentiates from some of the other projects by being a bit more centralized to begin with. That’s because in order to maintain a level of quality we have to build professionally generated assets. However, down the road 3D modelers for example can propose to have a new statue or art integrated on an island, and the residences of that island can vote to either have it included or not.

So in general, although our core team has a lot of control over the metaverse at the moment from bringing in brands, crafting islands, and building cities. Eventually it should transition into being in the control of our users adn residences.

Highstreetworld is building virtual technology (VR) for Artists, Gamers, crypto enthusiasts. Currently NFT and GameFi are growing very fast, will Highstreetworld face any barriers when entering this market? What is your plan to exploit the full potential of the market? I don’t know if the Highstreetworld platform is exclusively for gamers? What about non-gamer users? Can they still generate income even without playing your game? Travis Builds: Yes, VR is a new opportunity for a lot of traditional industries. For Retail, it allows the creativity of brands to sing once again without the constraints of physics or expensive building costs, bringing the joy of brand discovery and shopping as an adventure back to a world dominated by fast E-commerce checkouts.  We are absolutely involved with the NFT and GameFi industry, we have a proof of play mechanism that allow players to earn $HIGH tokens by completing daily quests, we have sponsored quests from brands that allow players to complete certain branded tasks to earn even more tokens, and of course our real estate components are another method for both brand partners and users to earn more by playing!

Regarding non-game users, you can simply buy and sell products on our market place on the browser to make money! If you buy limited edition products, it’s a really easy bet, if one more person buys the product after you, you would’ve made money in theory ha! We also have mobile companion apps coming out for those who don’t have a PC, this not only allow non-core players to provide more content for actual VR users, but also potentially serve as a gateway into our world that will convince them to one day buy a PC Rig.

Travis Builds: There are plenty of ways to earn $High tokens, obviously the exchange is one place! Otherwise:

  1. Fight monsters and earn $HIGH from their drops like any open world game.
  2. Complete Daily Quests to earn stable amount of $HIGH every day.
  3. Sponsored & Special Event Quests – Brands can sponsor quests as well that challenge the community as a whole.
  4. Brand activations may pay-out in $HIGH tokens as well, find HighStreet Theaters located in any city to see what is available for watch-to-earn ads.
  5. Treasure Hunts are available on $HIGHSTREET as well where the whole community can compete in a game wide treasure hunt. Form parties or compete solo, more to be revealed later.
  6. Combat Arenas can allow PVP wagers. Challenge your friend to an archery dual by committing $HIGH Tokens ahead of time. Winner Takes All.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club: To be honest, I have not seen such Marketplaces yet. When is the release? When can I put mine on vr glasses and buy something?

Travis Builds: We are starting Alpha this week with early signups and users! I will send video update later today in this chat as well! We just have to record some footages. The goal is to transition to public alpha later this year, and in November try to open for beta. Metaverse is hard! So we are launching the limited edition market place first to slowly ease people into the world.

On Whale Alert – you did say that you have Incorporated two main forms of defense, the first being by means of the reserve ratio, the higher the reserve ratio between Reserve Token Balance and Product will lower the price sensitivity, this means depending on the product and can tweak the reserve ratio to ensure drastic price swings don’t occur? The second being by means of KYC, which you did said you understand may be a hotly debated issue, and as of now you people have no other means of limiting the amount of the same product each individual can buy, hence open for community suggestions. Does this not mean that the system is vulnerable here and in which case the community would be badly affected? And do you intend to fix this?

Travis Builds: This is a really good question; we have been talking about this internally for a long time. This question is regarding specifically to the limited edition product place. Based on the brand we take in a couple metrics to generate a custom bonding curve. Initial Price and Max supply is the obvious, however the slope of the curve is also determined by the brand. Some brand may want more redemptions and products being delivered to the users’ hands, others may want to have full speculation and see the price go to the moon in a similar fashion to unstocks. For us although we let the brands decide we generally would put a dampener on the pricing function so that the price increase wouldn’t be too drastic. However, no matter what happens buyers will always still have liquidity and can sell no matter what. Our fear is for someone to come in and buy up a bunch of products at once and driving the price up so grass root users cannot afford the item anymore. Hence the KYC measures being put in place. However, I think this is something we have to really experiment with as we ramp up product listing. It may very well be as simple as   limiting products to one per wallet, however if we still see the same issue persist, we may enforce KYC on users. The team wants to provide a fair and fun experience for every buyer, so you can absolutely count on us to be prioritizing the community here.

NFT’s secondary markets like StockX are plagued with logistics overheads. Once a buyer is found, I as a seller, must guarantee the delivery of the product and its authenticity, do these types of cases also occur within highstreet or are your policies different? How does highstreet’s logistics overhead work?

Travis Builds: ha! So this is the exact problem that Highstreet’s limited edition product market solves.

When a user buyer a product on highstreet they get an ERC20 token. That token can be held for when the price goes up and then sold to arbitrage the difference, or it could be redeemed and burned for the physical product. This way traders are only handling the token and not the product itself and can sell that token back to the market at any time he/she wants. The collector on the other hand is the only person who needs to touch the product, and they will always receive it direct from brand, so this way there’s no need for authentication from middle-parties. The bonding curve amm essentially merged the traditional primary and secondary market together removing the logistical nightmares from traders.

However once a product is redeemed, it leaves HighStreet market, and whatever the user does with the physical product is up to them. It may very well end up on stockX or maybe framed and sold as an NFT with Sotheby’s.

The idea of tokens for limited edition products was born with $SOCKS in 2019, and though it is an initiative that would result attractive for even the biggest brands worldwide, is unknown for all of them yet. So as a marketplace specifically for these kind of tokens, who would be the market of High street market right now? Also, the main goal of course is to get huge companies to use these tokens to release their limited edition products, so what is your plan to contact them and develop an effective marketing?

Travis Builds: Highstreet’s limited edition market place is indeed inspired by $SOCKS. Although we work with a lot of luxury brands as mentioned in other answers, this particular market place is actually more suited for newer influencer lead brands. Whereas an established brand may use this as a one-off launch collaboration with an artist, for someone who is new to the apparel business or any business, knowing where your product is priced and valued at is crucial. Lots of influencers are great at building hype but not necessarily good at monetizing it, using the AMM solution we create an automated price discovery mechanism from them. We have a lot of friends in this space, from ASAP Lou of the ASAP Mob who’s starting his Cozy Boys brand, to Jaeson Ma of triller and 88rising, who’s an active advisor to our project.

Travis Builds: Bonding curves took off in defi because it removed the middle-man in an exchange. However there are tons of issues with things like “impermanent loss” and slippage, on HighStreet, we actually put deposits from purchases into a vault so that there is always liquidity for sellers as we move up and down the bonding curve. When you sell the liquidity comes straight from the vault. Of course when someone redeems, the vault also pays the brands.

We Guarantee authenticity because products that are redeemed are shipped directly from brands. 24/7 customer support is a way to communicate the bonding curve’s amm to non-crypto natives. We don’t have a middle man making markets for you, if you want to sell, the market will automatically take care of you.

Travis Builds: Tokens are erc20 tokens kept on the HighStreet Market exchange with a unique ticker. They have zero value elsewhere. The system currently is invite only, so we onboard brands manually. In the future if we transition to a permisionless system, sellers/merchants will have to authenticate themselves via Instagram and other KYC means as well as stake our tokens in order to be allowed to sell. We need to make sure all sellers have the ability to deliver physical products.

Travis Builds: This has been one of the biggest questions we ask ourselves too! We built a community on telegram without token giveaways, before this week we’ve been only giving away gaming products and VR products like haptic feedback suits and high-end Headsets. For gamers they don’t need to be very familiar with crypto to play, $HIGH works as any other in-game currency and can be obtained by simply playing the game. We hope as they progress in the game they can slowly explore the crypto aspects of the game’s backend and get into this industry bit by bit.

Usually a project will have feature for buyback & burn to up value for the token, I want to know more about High Street burn system, how the burn work, what possible to trigger burn inside your project?

Travis Builds: We have a 30% pool in which tokens are delivered to users playing the game via Proof-Of-Play. Tokens need to be spent everywhere in game, to maintain your real estate costs $HIGH (a bit like management fees in a condo), to repair your ship after dying and respawning back to the city will cost $HIGH, all of these are sources of burns. Furthermore, we do charge brands for various integrations from Consumer Insights analytics to sponsoring quests, these fees are used for token buy-backs.
