  Hello, Satoshi clubbers and guests of this site. Let’s talk today about privacy protocol.

  Railgun is the new standard in privacy and anonymity for the Ethereum ecosystem. Implemented on-chain, directly on Ethereum, RAILGUN has put to rest all speculation about the lack of feasibility in implementing strong privacy and anonymity features, directly on-chain. Furthermore, not only is the RAILGUN technology ground-breaking, but it is also easily portable. We will be implementing RAILGUN on more blockchains in the days to come.

I was born and raised in Moscow and went to a school with a particular focus on IT technologies (lyceum of information technologies 1533) there before moving to Oxford to do my undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees. I’ve been a researcher in deep learning for quite a long time, but also worked as a CTO for 2 startups and now have my own mobile and web app development company, Vitruvian.

I’ve joined the Railgun team as a project manager, working closely together with the team of researchers and developers, who are also represented in this ama by @mesquka.

Historically, users have been limited to a few applications if they wanted to stay private, while the areas that have the largest economic activity have had no option for privacy. Railgun is the answer to this, it gives everyone the ability to remain private regardless of what applications they want to use – DeFi apps like compound and AAVE, dex’s like Uniswap and Sushiswap, their favorite erc20 tokens, and more.

Railgun is a protocol that can be implemented on any chain that supports smart contracts, it currently has a solidity implementation that can run on ethereum, BSC, and polygon.

All actions within Railgun are private, however the user will be able to generate a verifiable report that reveals their transaction history.

What can you say about your competitors like tornado cash and blank wallet? What problems did you face when starting the project in terms of uniqueness?

Tornado cash uses fixed denominations to act as a strong private mixer, in theoretical use-cases where users have matching denominations tornado has the capability of being almost perfectly private. In reality users very rarely have round number amounts, and many like to interact with various defi protocols which don’t always give round number amounts either. In real-world scenarios, the fixed denominations and multiple pools lead to users needing to join and split their balances publically on ethereum greatly reducing their privacy. Railgun lets users do all these actions in a fully shielded and private manner eliminating this whole class of data leaks.

Aztec is built on layer 2, this leads to long deposit wait times and a large barrier to integrating with layer 1 defi projects. Railgun is fully layer 1 meaning you can interact with projects like Uniswap, aave, compound and more as fast as you can send an ETH transaction.

Blank wallet is a wallet built on tornado cash, they’re welcome to use Railgun in their wallet instead 🙂

There have already been cases of problems with people at Binance who used the mixer. For example, if I use Railgun to transfer money to my wallet, and then to the exchange, the exchange can block my account because the transaction will be suspicious, it will not have a clear origin story.

Railgun design has an excellent system where you can prove your source of funds to one of your colleagues.

So, you can supply this when the exchange company asks for it, when you deposit. This way, you have privacy from the entire world, but you can reveal your good history to whoever you like. This is good for when you want to borrow money: you can use your Railgun balance as a credit rating, but only to the person you select, when you choose to.

This means nobody will have any reason to reject you.

The developer tools will initially be released as a set of NPM modules which can be integrated into DAPP frontends and wallets. We will initially be releasing JavaScript modules that cover most DAPP frontends and wallets (React Native) and will assess demand for other languages as the project progresses.

Privacy and anonymity are fundamental for many aspects of financial transactions. Imagine going to your local coffee shop and then everyone in the world knowing what coffee you purchased, at what time, at what coffee shop, and how much you paid for it. However, that’s exactly what happens on public blockchains. Another use case would be coming up with a novel and highly profitable trading strategy, and even though staying anonymous everyone being able to view and copy your trading strategy on the public blockchain. That’s why at Railgun we believe it’s fundamental to bring an option of privacy to public blockchains such as Ethereum, and sooner or later all cryptocurrency projects will be heading in this direction.

Your platform will launch on July 12. Will your governance feature be fully release at launch? Also, what model of governance will you use and what will be required for a user to join governance? Will governance be carried out using $CPIE or do you plan to launch an additional governance token?

C.L (rebranded) LaunchZone: CremePieSwap is officially launching on July 12, along with the IDO sale of its token $CPIE. After the launch, some basic features of CremePieSwap shall be introduced to the public. However, we are planning to make CremePieSwap a hit by introducing a series of new and exclusive Dapps, so not every functions and features of CremePieSwap are being introduced at once. Do you have a higher & advanced burning mechanism to prevent inflation & mitigate the price volatility of $CPIE? Every transaction will incur 6% tax which is allocated 2%- liquidity on $CPIE, 2%- distribute to staked $CPIE on Launchzone’s PoolX,1%-burn & 1%- development & marketing. Will you be ready to change the token categorization in Tax (Transaction fee) if the community want to change?

The other solution is the business and service model we are introducing with our new exclusive Dapps. Musk @CoinWind: CoinWind aims to build a DeFi digital asset bank, launching a product that combines high-yield, safety, and reliability, pooling different tokens deposited by users into different pools, and then mobilizing funds from a certain token pool to participate in different liquidity meanings, so as to achieve higher profits for users.

CoinWind products will effectively reduce the impermanence loss in liquidity mining through a combination strategy. At present, CoinWind has launched on HEOC and BSC, then will run across multiple main chains such as ETH.

ETH is the most popular ecosystem whereas BSC is becoming popular due to low fees. However, CoinWind originated from the HECO chain. Normally, projects are built on ETH or BSC and are connected to several chains in due course. Conversely, why did you choose HECO at the beginning? You should have originated from ETH or BSC before expanding to HECO. Did you notice any special features in the HECO chain? Further, are you planning to land on some other chains in the near future?

On April 19th, it was an interesting time as you took us round the details of Coinwind. During the AMA session, you described Coinwind as a Heco and BSC ecological mining platform that accept 14 single token mining on HECO chain and 13 single token mining on BSC. However, you promised that you will launch and replicate this intelligent mining on other chains. True to that, I have seen that by July 8 which is today, you will be launching on Ethereum Chain. Also, You said that there was no need for governance or platform token since you will operate as a saving bank where users will deposit asset and you pay them interest. But I have seen that you have now decided to launch a DAO governance. Does this mean you will now have your own platform token? How will your governance be structured? How many tokens will users be able to use for intelligent mining as you launch on Ethereum? Which other chains are you also targeting? First of all, let’s talk about why we need to reinvest. The income generated by current user mining is in the LP pool without any use, which causes the funds to be idle and does not maximize their value; on the other hand, the mining income is lower than in the past. In order to increase user revenue, we have added a re-investment function.

Musk @CoinWind: So how does the contract realize the reinvestment? Every 5-10 minutes, the contract will invest the income generated by mining into high-yield projects, and the new income generated will be reinvested again, which can improve the efficient use of income funds and reduce the manual reinvestment of users. Costs in terms of capital (miner fees) and time.

After the reinvestment, the project yield will increase by more than 40% on the current basis.

Musk @CoinWind: The CoinWind team themselves have been focusing on the direction of blockchain DeFi and contract development. After the Heco main chain became popular, we quickly studied the current ecological value and determined the direction of empowerment. The CoinWind team completed the development, audit, and launch of the contract in more than one month. For other projects on the market, many projects are only positioned as machine gun pools, just using users’ token to mine which is not responsible for the impermanence of users. We are positioned as a DeFi financial management platform, not just a tool aggregator.

When users come to CoinWind, they only need to invest in a single token. The smart contract will automatically match the high-yield liquid mining capital pool and help users automatically hedge the impermanence of liquid mining through a combination of mining strategies.

In addition, CoinWind’s own funds will maximize the reduction of the impermanence of LP pools through liquidity hedging, so as to ensure the highest profit for users.
